Tottenham is still in contention to qualify for next season's Champions League, but the Londoners are not the favorites in this competition. They are currently in fifth place in the table, three points behind the top four, with their direct rivals one game behind them. The Spurs are finally on a good run, as they have not suffered any real defeats in four games in a row. Twice in this stretch, they have shared the points with Southampton and Everton - 3:3 and 1:1, while they beat Nottingham Forest and Brighton - 3:1 and 2:1. Another thing is that in the last game against the Seagulls, they had every chance of losing.
Bournemouth
Bournemouth returned to the elite of English football with a 2:0 win over Aston Villa but lost the next three meetings by a combined score of 0:16. It seemed that after such a debut, the Cherries would be preparing for another relegation. Still, they began to climb back up and cling to points gradually. Under Gary O'Neill, they produce decent results that make them feel comfortable in the fight for survival. In the last five rounds, they have scored three wins and two defeats - a good stretch. They are 15th in the Premier League table.
Expert Betting Tips
Tottenham and Bournemouth have been performing well of late, but they have very different levels of tournament motivation. While the Cherries have won three of their last five games, which allowed them to break away from the relegation zone, the Spurs are still only in fifth place in the table, so they cannot lose points to try to clinch the Champions League spot. Fortunately, they traditionally play well at home against the Red and Black, winning all their last five head-to-head encounters by a combined total of 16:2. As a result, we're inclined to bet on Tottenham's victory with a handicap (-1.5).
Tottenham beat Bournemouth on the home field and scored heavily in this clash. In the last five head-to-head encounters in London, Spurs scored 16 goals against the Red and Blacks (3.20 goals per game on average), and only once in this stretch have they scored less than three goals per game. The Londoners now have excellent tournament motivation, so they are unlikely to decide to spare their opponents, especially in front of the home stands. On this basis, the best option for the prediction seems to be an individual total of Tottenham over 2.5 goals, and separately we should look at the bet on Son Heung-Min's goal.
