Tom Cleverley was having a few sleepless nights in his first pre-season as a manager with successive defeats to Gillingham, Wycombe Wanderers and Reading. The Hornets put to rest such apprehensions with a gripping performance in the Championship opener against Millwall, winning it 3-2. This was followed by a sterling performance by Tom Ince in the EFL Cup against MK Dons, which resulted in a five-goal win.
The streak continued following the team's 3-0 win over Stoke City, with goals by Edo Kayembe and Ryan Andrews.

Watford vs Derby County Expert Tips
Wesley Hoedt is currently sidelined through injury and has also been rumoured to be leaving; either way, that leaves them with few centre half options. The likes of Matthew Pollock, Francisco Sierralta, and James Morris have all done well so far and will likely retain their spots here. Vakoun Bayo probably will be the spearhead of the attack for the Hornets, while for Derby, Jake Rooney misses out due to an injury. Corey Blackett-Taylor is gradually nearing a return, but it remains to be seen whether that happens in time for this Saturday's match. Watford has scored plenty of goals lately in the Championship, and in the meantime, the last home game saw Derby win against Middlesbrough. However, we expect Watford to gain the upper hand in this fixture.
