Sheffield United are going to be back on the field Sunday to put an end on their unbeaten streak of Steel City Derbies that started way back in February 2012. The Blades have managed to keep themselves in automatic promotion spots with 28 points from 14 games even when they suffered a two points deduction at the start of the season. A rock-solid record in defence, with the side conceding only seven this season, has helped them collect valuable points.
After facing their first two league losses of the campaign at the end of the October international weekend, Sheffield United responded with three successive wins, including over Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers. This last victory came over Bristol City at SGM very late in the game when they got their hands on all three points through a late goal.
Sheffield United will hope to extend their current 14-year winning streak over city rivals Sheffield Wednesday when the two sides meet in the Steel City Derby at Championship level. At times it's been more winning than losing or drawing, but they haven't lost their city rivals since way back in 2009.
Sheffield United Predicted Lineup
Cooper; Gilchrist, Ahmedhodzic, Souttar, Burrows; Souza, Arblaster; Rak-Sakyi, O'Hare, Hamer; Campbell

The visitors, meanwhile, are keenly fighting for a place towards the top of the Championship table and collecting their 43rd win against their guests. Danny Rohl's first full season in charge of Sheffield Wednesday has been marked by inconsistency but they sit in 15th place after 14 games and thus avoided relegation last season.
Despite scoring one goal less than the hosts, who are in the second position, their defense has been really disappointing for Sheffield Wednesday. Sheffield Wednesday had conceded 24 goals in 14 matches also, and defeat at home to Watford was a real blow to them, but they returned well with a 2-0 win against Norwich City, where Josh Windass and Dominic Iorfa scored for them.
It holds a three-point advantage on the bottom trio but is one point behind the top nine, and a win at Bramall Lane just what Sheffield Wednesday would want as it has not won there since 2009 and only once since 1967.
Sheffield Wednesday Predicted Starting Line-Up
Beadle; Palmer, Bernard, Iorfa, Johnson; Charles, Bannan, Ingelsson; Gassama, Smith, Windass
Sheffield United vs Sheffield Wednesday Expert Prediction
The fact that both the teams of Sheffield have a very recent history of matches and due to the good defense displayed by the home team, it will most probably be an extremely tight and low-scoring game. If one team does score, then this could be the difference between winning and losing. The Blades may end up being the winners in the game because of the weak defense shown by the Owls.
