Round 31
10.02.2024
18:00
Loftus Road Stadium
London England
QPR’s woes a few weeks ago seem to be a thing of the past with their recent performances. They have played their last 3 games, winning 2 and playing a draw once. The last time they had a string of good results was in December last year. But at the moment, there's a lot of momentum building within the team and they hope to show it again when they welcome Norwich City to Loftus Road.
Norwich City are also very interested in a win as they have just got a win in their last game after back-to-back defeats in the games before. Norwich City will feel entitled to the win against QPR who are battling for their lives in the relegation zone and a result besides that would be a disappointment for Norwich City.

QPR need to maintain their new form if they are serious about leaving the relegation zone anytime soon. At the moment, they have picked up 2 wins and a draw in their last 3, these results were after they went without a win in 8 games in all competitions.
Their last victory was against Blackburn away from home. Aynsley Pears helped QPR get into the lead by scoring an own goal in the 61st minute and then Joe Hodge slotted in the second goal 3 minutes later. Blackburn pulled one goal back in the 73rd minute through Sam Gallagher, but QPR held onto to lead until the end of the game.
QPR will hope for a different result when they clash with Norwich City once again. Norwich City won the previous game by a single goal back in November last year.
QPR are in 23rd position on the table with 28 points from 30 league games.
Norwich City
Norwich City are far from excellent in terms of form recently and a win here would do them a lot of good. They ended their back-to-back defeats with a win over Coventry City last weekend. The game opened up in the 48th minute following Callum O’Hare's opener to put Coventry City in the lead and after that followed Josh Sargent’s equalizer in the 60th minute to level things up. And then Liam Kitching was sent off for a professional foul in the 71st minute and the extra man paid off in the 84th minute when Borja Sainz put Norwich ahead and ultimately they won all 3 points.
It was a lackluster performance for Norwich City and they would need to do better against relegation-threatened QPR.
Norwich are in 9th position with 44 points from 30 league games.
Head to Head
Norwich City has beaten QPR 11 times in their last 19 meetings against each other. QPR managed 3 wins and then they played a draw 6 times.
Norwich City also recorded back-to-back wins against QPR last year.
Analysis and Predictions
Norwich City had the win but they were not absolutely convincing on the night. However, they have the record against QPR on their side. QPR will hope to apply the home advantage to their favor in order to preserve their very good run. At the end, we should have an entertaining game with lots of scoring opportunities.
Analysis shows Norwich City have not lost in the last 8 meetings against QPR, while QPR have failed to keep a clean sheet in the last 3. They both scored less than 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 meetings and Norwich scored first in 8 of their last 10 meetings. There were also more than 10.5 corners in 5 of their last 6 meetings.
