11th February 2023
On February 11th, the Championship will see two London-based teams, Queens Park Rangers and Millwall, face off at Loftus Road. The home team, QPR, is hoping to end their five-match winless streak at home, while the visiting team, Millwall, aims to secure consecutive away victories for the first time this season.

QPR has struggled to achieve maximum points in recent months, as they have only won one of their 14 recent Championship matches. Since taking charge, manager Neil Critchley has yet to see his team come out on top, with their only victory being a 1-0 win over Preston North End on December 17. This has resulted in QPR falling to 13th on the table. However, there is still hope for Critchley and his team as they are only five points away from the playoff positions and there are 16 games left in the season. In their last match, QPR was held to a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town, and they have also drawn in their last two home games against Sheffield United and Swansea City, as well as their last home meeting with Millwall in February 2022. Although a win is a top priority, the R's can at least feel confident about avoiding defeat as they have not lost in their last 10 home matches against Millwall.
Queens Park Rangers’ possible starting lineup
Dieng; Laird, Dickie, Dunne, Paal; Dozzell, Johansen, Field; Chair, Lowe, Willock
Millwall’s Form
Since the start of the year, Millwall's results have been inconsistent, with two wins, two losses, and one draw in their last five games across all competitions. Despite a close 1-0 win against Cardiff City, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Sunderland last weekend after Dennis Cirkin equalized in the 81st minute.
Although Millwall's results have been disappointing, the club remains in contention for a top-six finish, currently sitting in eighth place, 1 point behind West Bromwich Albion in sixth and 5 points behind Middlesbrough in third. On Saturday, they will be visiting Loftus Road, where they have alternated between wins and losses in their last five league matches, having only won one of their first nine road games this season. A win against QPR would be Millwall's first away win since February 1989, when they secured a 2-1 victory in the top flight with goals from Jimmy Carter and Tony Cascarino.
Millwall’s predicted lineup
Long; McNamara, Cresswell, Cooper, Wallace; Mitchell, Saville; Honeyman, Flemming, Watmore; Bradshaw

Both teams will be eager to secure a win and earn all three points on Saturday in order to improve their chances of securing a spot in the Championship playoffs. The match at Loftus Road is expected to be a close contest, however, we believe Millwall will come out on top and earn their first away victory against QPR in 34 years. The predicted outcome of the match wil be more than 2.5 goals and in favour of Millwall.
