Last weekend, Preston was on top by 3-0 against Plymouth Argyle making manager Paul Heckingbottom feel happy over the way his team is doing. However, it all turned worse with giving an equalising opportunity to Plymouth and ultimately lost 3-0 to Arsenal in the EFL Cup fourth round. It is not the first time when Heckingbottom has seen the same scenario where they are losing a lead against Norwich City. He must be aware of the fact that something needs to be done in order to motivate his boys to change their mindset.
Preston are three clear of the relegation zone and most of their points came from games here at Deepdale. Their sole defeat this season came on the first day when they were turned over by Sheffield United. They have lost only two of their last nine home league games and over two months ago they suffered a defeat at the Deepdale.
Preston North End Predicted Starting Lineup
Woodman; Storey, Lindsay, Hughes; Kesler-Hayden, Frokjaer-Jensen, Whiteman, McCann, Brady; Riis, Greenwood
Bristol City current form
Bristol City head Deepdale with a seven-match unbeaten run in the Championship.
Returning to the team after time off for personal reasons, Liam Manning helped Bristol City draw goalless against Leeds United last weekend. Their run of games without defeat at home now stands at six games. Manning is hoping that his team can really do well and go closer to the playoffs at Deepdale, with five points from their last three away games.

Preston North End vs Bristol City Predictions
Preston manager Heckingbottom has used a back four during the last game against Arsenal. For this game, he might again deploy the three-man defense. Jordan Storey can be in the line-up at defense and midfield respectively for Mads Frokjaer-Jensen. Robbie Brady, on the other hand, is doubtful because of his ankle injury, while Milutin Osmajic is still suspended. Kal Naismith should, therefore be recalled to Bristol City for Ross McCrorie has strained his hamstring. Sinclair Armstrong could also return as an attacking option but Manning will not make much of a change from what was done against Leeds last game. Preston has been impressive at home this term but have lost their last couple of games defensively, and that gives Bristol City hope of coming out with at least a draw in this game, and it might not be an exciting one either.
