Plymouth recently faced four promotion contenders in a row, only managing to secure one point. However, they bounced back with a 2-0 win against Middlesbrough, earning their second away win of the season since Ian Foster took charge in January. With upcoming matches against relegation rivals, Plymouth have a chance to improve upon their earlier performances and potentially secure their ninth win at Home Park in 18 attempts.
While Darko Gyabi's performance in a more attacking role did not work well against Boro, he may revert to a deeper position for the upcoming contest. It is possible that Gyabi may not feature at all, as Alfie Devine is expected to return in the front line for Plymouth, while Adam Randell and Jordan Houghton have shown a strong partnership. Adam Phillips is likely to remain on the bench, and there are concerns about Adam Forshaw's fitness.
Plymouth Argyle Predicted Lineup
Hazard; Pleguezuelo, Gibson, Galloway; Sorinola, Randell, Houghton, Miller; Whittaker, Hardie, Devine
Ipswich Town form
Just a few weeks ago, Kieran McKenna would have been content with Ipswich potentially settling for a playoff spot despite spending a significant amount of time in the top two positions. With just one win in nine games, Ipswich's prospects seemed uncertain. However, they have turned things around with a four-match winning streak, scoring 13 goals in the process. This has coincided with Leicester City and Southampton faltering, putting Ipswich back in the running to finish as runners-up or even champions.
While Leeds United remain strong promotion favorites, Ipswich now control their fate as they continue to perform well, losing just once in their last 11 matches. Additionally, they possess the second-best away record in the league with 32 points from 17 games.
With Wes Burns sidelined due to injury, Omari Hutchinson is expected to be back in the lineup for Ipswich. Harry Clarke may also replace Axel Tuanzebe at right-back after being rested in the previous game.
Ipswich Town Predicted Lineup
Hladky; Clarke, Woolfenden, Burgess, Davis; Morsy, Luongo; Hutchinson, Chaplin, Broadhead; Moore
