When Norwich City returned to the Championship, they were considered favourites to earn an immediate return to the Premier League under Dean Smith's leadership. However, they failed to meet expectations and dropped out of the playoffs at the start of the year, with only one notable unbeaten run under David Wagner.
After garnering 13 points from five games, Norwich City only managed to accumulate seven points from their next ten matches, resulting in the playoffs no longer being a possibility. In the last four matches, the team conceded 11 goals, while only scoring three, so fans are hoping that Teemu Pukki can end his remarkable stint at Norwich City with a bang.
The experienced striker has not scored a goal since January 14th, but he will want to make his 89th goal for the club a memorable one and leave on a high note.
Norwich City Predicted Lineup
Gunn; Aarons, Omobamidele, Sorensen, Giannoulis; Sara, Nunez; Sargent, Gibbs, Tzolis; Pukki
Blackpool Form
Blackpool has been relegated before the last match of the season due to their inability to record back-to-back victories since October. However, interim coach Stephen Dobbie's impact has been positive, as he has won two of his five games in charge. Blackpool's future plans for their return to League One are uncertain at present, but for some of their players and Dobbie, this game could serve as an audition for their continued roles next season. Blackpool has won only four away matches this season, with the most recent win being against Birmingham City on April 22. They lost their last match against Millwall, where they scored two equalizers but conceded a penalty in the 75th minute.
Blackpool possible lineup
Grimshaw; Gabriel, Nelson, Husband, Lyons; Connolly, Fiorini; Rogers, Anderson, Hamilton; Yates
Norwich City vs Blackpool Expert Tips
Norwich City's hopes of promotion were officially ended last week with their loss to West Bromwich Albion. A poor run in recent weeks has cost them dearly after they started the season with a push for automatic promotion. Blackpool, on the other hand, has struggled with a porous defence and has been relegated to League One. This will be the last game for Norwich's modern-day hero, Teemu Pukki, who will bid farewell to Carrow Road after his five-year association with the club. Pukki, a 33-year-old Finland international, will be hoping to score in his final appearance and lead Norwich City to a comfortable victory. We expect more than 2.5 goals in the game.
