Middlesbrough achieved their first victory in the Championship this year by defeating Millwall at The Den, despite several injuries. The match did not start well for Middlesbrough, as Joe Bryan scored for Millwall in the 10th minute. However, Middlesbrough staged a remarkable comeback with goals from Lukas Engel, Isaiah Jones, and substitute Marcus Forss. This win marks Middlesbrough's second consecutive away victory as they aim to secure a top-six position in the Championship. The team has had a busy January, with the opportunity to reach the EFL Cup final, and now they have a full week to prepare for their upcoming match against Rotherham, who are currently in the relegation zone. Before their crucial second leg against Chelsea, Middlesbrough will also focus on closing the one-point gap to Coventry City in the Championship standings. The Championship is highly competitive, with Middlesbrough only three points ahead of Bristol City in 14th place. Middlesbrough has had to rely on different players for goals this season, with Emmanuel Latte Lath, Jones, Coburn, and Greenwood all scoring five goals in the Championship so far, following the departures of Akpom and Archer.
Middlesbrough Predicted Lineup

Rotherham United form
After a successful period of three matches without a loss over the holidays, Rotherham United started off the majority of their January schedule with two consecutive defeats. They were knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round by Premier League team Fulham, followed by a narrow loss to Stoke in the Championship last weekend. In the game against Stoke, Rotherham failed to register a single shot on goal, while Lewis Baker of Stoke scored a brilliant curling free-kick in the closing stages of the first half. Despite some improvements since their new manager, Leam Richardson, took over in December, Rotherham has only won one out of their last seven Championship matches. As a result, they are in danger of being relegated as the weeks go by. With only three wins in their first 27 Championship games, Rotherham is currently at the bottom of the league table, eight points behind Huddersfield Town in 21st place. In the coming month, they will be facing tough matches against Southampton, Leeds United, and Ipswich Town. Given their record this season, the Rotherham fans should not expect much from their team in their upcoming away game against Riverside. Rotherham has failed to win any of their 13 away games in the Championship this season, earning only three points and scoring just eight goals away from their home stadium, AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Rotherham United Predicted Lineup
Johansson; Peltier, Odoffin, Morrison, Revan, Bramall; Tiehi, Clucas, Rathbone; Hugill, Nombe
Middlesbrough vs Rotherham United Expert Tips
Without being distracted by the buzz surrounding their EFL Cup achievements, Middlesbrough should be able to maintain their concentration for Saturday's match against Rotherham. Given Rotherham's ineffectiveness away from home this season, it is unlikely that they will pose a threat to Middlesbrough at the Riverside stadium, even with the host's significant number of absent players.
