On Saturday, Ipswich travelled north to Huddersfield, hoping to continue their recent successful streak in the league and cup matches. Despite their efforts, Huddersfield - now under new management - proved to be a tough opponent. Ipswich managed to secure one point thanks to a late goal from substitute Brandon Williams, leaving them in second place in the Championship table, only two points behind leaders Leicester City. Ipswich has been performing exceptionally well since gaining promotion from League One last season, with their only loss being a thrilling 4-3 game against Leeds United in August. In fact, Ipswich has scored at least two goals in their last 14 league matches at Portman Road, winning 12 times and netting a total of 49 goals with an average of 3.5 per game. Additionally, they have not lost a midweek league fixture since December 2021, which bodes well for their upcoming match on Tuesday.
Ipswich Town Predicted Lineup

Hull City form
Hull City can find inspiration in their historical encounters with Ipswich, as they have not lost back-to-back league games against them in over six decades. Additionally, Hull has been victorious in their last six league visits to Portman Road, only conceding one goal between 2011 and 2020.
Under the guidance of head coach Liam Rosenior, Hull City poses a threat to Ipswich, who are currently one of the top-performing teams in the Championship. Hull managed to maintain their impressive unbeaten streak with a 1-1 draw against Plymouth Argyle in their most recent match. Regan Slater scored to level the game just before halftime, marking his second consecutive goal and extending Hull's undefeated run to eight matches. They currently sit in fifth place in the standings with 16 points from nine games.
Although Ipswich performs well at home, Hull City will be heading to Suffolk with confidence, having won their last three away fixtures. They aim to achieve a four-match winning streak for the first time in over ten years. The last time Hull achieved this feat was in late 2012, with Rosenior participating in three of those matches.
Hull City Predicted Lineup

Ipswich Town vs Hull City Expert Tips
Given that both teams are well aware of the location of the goalpost, with an average of more than 1.5 goals per game, there is a high likelihood of witnessing considerable activity within the penalty area at Portman Road. One can anticipate an entertaining match, with the possibility that a draw would allow either team to maintain their unbeaten record. We expect the home side to come away with the victory though. Expect more than 2.5 goals in this game.
