Following the decision to sack Liam Rosenior in the summer, Hull supporters still question that decision. The team has only collected three points in Tim Walter's first four games as manager, with their sole defeat being against Leeds United. The Tigers began the season with draws against Bristol City, Plymouth Argyle, and Millwall, matches they were expected to win. Of particular concern for Walter is the team's lack of goals, with one of their two goals being a late penalty in the first game of the season. But with the addition of some new players like Kasey Palmer and Abu Kamara that problem might go away. But then again, so is walter, because at this point, all that matters is getting the W, and Hull is trying to get their promotion campaign for the premiership back on track.
Hull City Predicted Lineup
Pandur, Coyle, Jones, McLoughlin, Giles; Zambrano; Omur, Slater, Mehlem, Millar; Bedia.
Sheffield United form
Sheffield United, on the other hand, made smart acquisitions following their disappointing performance in the top flight during the 2023-24 season. Even though they started -2 for financial irregularities, The Blades are in 6th place. Losing a 2 goal lead at Queens Park Rangers was very disappointing, but they did bounce back with a draw at Norwich and a 1-0 win against Watford. If they win on Friday they will go to 2nd place and really state their claim for the title with a squad that seems to have the strength in depth to mount a serious challenge.
Sheffield United Predicted Lineup
Cooper, Gilchrist, Souttar, Ahmedhodzic, Burrows, Rak, Sakyi, Souza, Arblaster, Hamer, O'Hare, Moore.
Hull City vs Sheffield United Expert Tips
Palmer, who was away on international duty with Jamaica, might have to wait for his first start for Hull. Bedia may still retain his spot up front instead of burstow, and alzate may ride the bench(if he's healthy). Simons may come back in midfield, but Walter may not make many changes to the lineup. Wilder needs to make a decision on Moore, who just recently played for wales. Brewster and Campbell could step in for Moore, and Shackleton could replace Gilchrist at right-back if needed. Hull may have benefited from the break, but Sheffield United is a strong team and we predict they will win.
