Huddersfield Town head into the weekend with the goal of continuing their progress under the temporary leadership of Jon Worthington. They have made significant strides in the battle for Championship survival in recent weeks. Worthington took over from Darren Moore at the end of January, when the team was just above the relegation zone with 28 points from 29 league matches. However, he has sparked a turnaround in form.
Their improvement began with a crucial 4-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, a team in 23rd place. This win, which featured goals from Josh Koroma, Matty Pearson, and Sorba Thomas, marked the starting point of their resurgence. They then faced a tough away match against second-placed Southampton. Despite their valiant efforts, they ultimately lost 5-3, with Tom Lees scoring an own goal and Sekou Mara and Samuel Edozie finding the net for the opposition.
Undeterred by this defeat, Huddersfield Town bounced back with a 1-0 triumph over Sunderland. With Pearson scoring in the first half, they managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle. As a result of these two recent victories under Worthington's temporary management, Huddersfield Town has now moved ahead of Millwall and currently sits in 20th place. They have opened up a five-point gap above the relegation zone.
Their objective now is to extend this lead and secure back-to-back league wins for the first time since September.

Hull City form
It will undoubtedly be a challenging task, as the visitors are focused on reaching the playoffs following their recent victory. Under Liam Rosenior's management, Hull City has had a successful season so far in their pursuit of a top-six position. Currently in eighth place with 48 points from 31 games, the Tigers fell behind in the top-six battle after consecutive defeats to Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City earlier this year. However, they have since made an impressive comeback, winning three of their last four matches against Sunderland and Millwall with 1-0 victories. A disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Swansea City was followed by a 2-1 win against Rotherham United, where Jaden Philogene scored a remarkable equalizer and Noah Ohio quickly added the deciding goal. With the gap to sixth-placed Coventry City now reduced, Hull City is just outside the playoff positions on goal difference and will strive for their fifteenth league win of the season on Saturday to break into the top six.
Hull City Predicted Lineup

Huddersfield Town vs Hull City Expert Tips
Hull City has undeniably had a more successful season compared to Huddersfield Town so far and their squad is generally stronger. However, under the management of Worthington, Huddersfield Town has shown remarkable improvement and unity, aiming to distance themselves from the relegation zone. Consequently, it is difficult to determine a clear winner, and a draw appears to be the most probable outcome at the John Smith's Stadium.
