The Cardiff squad entered the game against Luton Town at the Kenilworth Road with confidence in hope of making it six matches in a row without a loss. The Cardiff squad had only sought its initial away win of the season since defeating Birmingham City at home on April 10. Luton went on to win 1-nil, with Jacob Brown getting the goal in second half. Cardiff has managed just three goals in seven games on the road in this second tier, and clearly, they need to go back to their own ground for them to regain their mojo. They have won back to back four games without conceding a single game at the Cardiff City Stadium, proof that they are strong and comfortable on their home grounds.
Cardiff City Predicted Lineup
Alnwick; Ng, Goutas, Chambers, O'Dowda; Siopis, Turnbull; Tanner, Colwill, El Ghazi; Meite
Blackburn Rovers Recent Form
Blackburn's promotion hopes were further threatened as they lost five of their last seven matches. Meanwhile, they hadn't scored in their last three home matches while they were losing to two successive 2-0 defeats from Sheffield United and Stoke City. Meanwhile, Blackburn hasn't scored a single goal in their last four games but still only three points off fifth place. That could be enough to clamber up the table with another win.
Blackburn Rovers Predicted XI
Pears; Brittain, Batth, Hyam, Pickering; Tronstad, Travis; Weimann, Cantwell, Hedges; Gueye
Cardiff City vs Blackburn Rovers Prediction
Yakou Meite and Chris Willock may feature for Cardiff as the three may share the slot among themselves in place of Callum Robinson.
This will be Riza's one change as he does not want to make more changes after losing to Luton by a small margin. Cardiff: Joe Ralls and Aaron Ramsey are still missing. Eustace changes for Blackburn, and with makhtar Gueye now fit to return, the attacking three should back him up. Tyrhys Dolan would otherwise have played but may be banned for one game and is at one yellow card count. Fit again Kyle McFadzean will provide cover as a reserve, but this might push for three at the back. Meanwhile, Blackburn has the risk of going further down the table and the pressure increases on Eustace and his team. However, we believe facing Cardiff's strong home form would not be Blackburn's answer this weekend as Cardiff is most likely to continue its hard-earned victories.
