Jon Dahl Tomasson will be aware that Blackburn cannot afford any more defeats in the short term, especially considering they have only collected five points from their last 10 Championship matches. The Dane's job was under threat when they went behind against League Two team Wrexham in the FA Cup fourth round. However, his team capitalized on Wrexham's chaotic defending and won the match 4-1. This victory has given Tomasson some breathing space, but he still needs to turn things around quickly if Blackburn is to move towards the top half of the table again, as there is currently a six-point gap. Despite this, Blackburn has been unbeaten in their last four matches at Ewood Park in all competitions. However, two of these matches ended in draws against relegation rivals, and the two wins came against lower-league teams in the FA Cup.
Connor O'Riordan and Kyle McFadzean are both in the running to make their first appearances for Blackburn after joining the team from Crewe Alexandra and Coventry City respectively. While new signings could potentially be added to the squad on deadline day, coach Tomasson may decide to stick with the players who were instrumental in the victory over Wrexham. This means Sam Gallagher is likely to start ahead of Semir Telalovic in the attack.
Blackburn Rovers Predicted Lineup
Pears; McFadzean, Hyam, Wharton; Dolan, Garrett, Tronstad, Sigurdsson; Moran, Szmodics; Gallagher.

Marti Cifuentes, head coach of QPR, will feel that the team's survival campaign has been rejuvenated after collecting four points from their last two games. They won 2-0 against Millwall and managed a last-minute 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town. QPR has also had some luck turning in their favour lately, as all six of Cifuentes's defeats have come by just one-goal margins. However, QPR is looking to put together a three-game undefeated streak in the Championship for only the second time this season, highlighting their inconsistency under different managers.
QPR's Aaron Drewe may feature at right-back if Reggie Cannon is unable to play due to an early injury. Despite the arrival of Michael Frey from Schalke 04, Sinclair Armstrong is expected to continue leading the frontline for Blackburn.
Queens Park Rangers Predicted Lineup
Begovic; Drewe, Cook, Clarke-Salter, Paal; Colback, Field; Willock, Dykes, Chair; Armstrong.
Blackburn Rovers vs Queens Park Rangers Expert Tips
With QPR's recent resurgence, they will likely aim to secure at least a draw when they travel to Ewood Park. However, Blackburn may have gained enough confidence in the attacking third from their victory over Wrexham to potentially come out on top in this match. We expect over 2.5 goals in the game.
