Boca Juniors claimed a strong 3-0 victory against Central Córdoba in their last game. Boca attacked from the off as Miguel Merentiel netted twice (64, 89) as well as an own goal from Florentín Bobadilla (36) to make it three past Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side. They controlled possession (58%) and were brutal in front of goal having nodded home four of six shots on target. Central Córdoba got off to the worse possible start with a Galván (45+8') red card that saw the Argentinean side starting on the back foot, however, they showed no fear and well and indeed managed to control the tempo of the game. They also had a solid defensive structure that did not allow them opponents to get much more than four shots on target and were balanced between the attack and defense.
Defensa y Justicia (WWLWD)
Gonzalo Togni’ s (88’ late strike) saw Defensa y Justicia prevail in a hard fought 1-0 victory against Estudiantes. The game was played out evenly as Defensa were 49% possession and made 20 goal attempts resulting in six on target. But their attacking persistence eventually yielded in the dying moments. On the other hand, they were disciplined in defence and kept Estudiantes to just four efforts on target. But their efficiency in front of goal is still a concern for them, as they took many chances to break through.
Expert Betting Tips
There are two in form teams in this clash between Boca and Defensa, who have shown their attacking power or a combative spirit on the defensive. At home advantage and better finishing, Boca should have the upper hand and, at the same time, look to frustrate them with a tight defensive structure. This encounter is likely to be won by Boca Juniors’ attacking momentum and home advantage. Defensa, however, could help offset this by being able to organize at the back, making this more of a contest.
