La Roja had a smooth start in their first game as they put three goals past Costa Rica. It was an easy peasy encounter for the Spanish side, who scored all their goals before the break through Valeria Campo (own goal), Bonmati, and Esther Gonzalez. Before their opening encounter against Costa Rica, Jorge Vilda’s women lost once over their previous fourteen matches and head here with six consecutive victories.
In their previous appearance in this competition, Spain was knocked out by the USA in the quarterfinals, recording just a win over South Africa in the tournament. La Roja have kept five consecutive clean sheets, scoring twenty-four times. Spain have an easy game against the Cooper Queens and must score more than enough to secure the top spot.
ZAMBIA
FIFA Ranking: 77th
The Cooper Queens had a terrible start to the tournament after conceding five against Japan. Nobody would have thought the game would witness five goals when Japan scored just once before the break. Zambia opened up in the second half and were punished by the Asian giant in their debut game. Zambia were full of confidence before the game after sharing the spoils (3-3) against Switzerland and a (3-2) victory over Germany in their warmup match. The Cooper Queens secured the ticket to this round after their remarkable performance in the AFCON Nations Cup. Zambia wrapped up the group phase with seven points from a possible nine and finished first on the log. However, they lost to South Africa in the semifinals but secured the spot in the World Cup as the best four in the tournament.
Unfortunately, the Cooper Queens were unable to get a shot, talk more of hitting the target, and were unlucky not to concede more than five. Zambia will have to double their defence against the attacking darts of La Roja.
Expert Betting Tips
Spain were more than convincing in their opening game, although they were wasteful after scoring three goals from forty-six shots. On the other hand, Zambia failed to get a shot or create a chance. Despite the cohesion of this squad not in a good place as several members walked away from the team to protest the coach Jorge Vilda’s style and decisions. Spain were fantastic against Costa Rica, and we expect them to demolish the Cooper Queens here; bet on both halves over 1.5 goals for 1.78.
We expect Zambia to concede more than a goal before the break for 1.58.
We expect a substitute player to score here for 2.40.
Good luck!
