TSM did not start the summer split too well. After losing the opening match against 100 Thieves, TSM did not lose heart, preparing for the match against CLG. The match was exciting, but still, TSM could not defeat their opponents. In the final match of the super week, the guys met with Immortals, which the guys were already able to defeat, thus going to a score of 1-2, at the end of the first game week. The second week started with an important win, against Team Liquid. However, at the end of the week, TSM lost to Golden Guardians, thus going to a score of 2-3, disputing fifth place with three other teams. At the beginning of the third week, TSM lost to Evil Geniuses, dropping to #8 in the standings. Towards the end of the week, Dignitas continued their losing streak, defeating TSM quite easily. Week 4 began with another defeat. This time Cloud9 beat the guys, sending them on a streak of four losses in a row, and a score of 2-6 in the overall standings. At the end of the week, TSM was able to beat FlyQuest, which moved the guys up to eighth place in the overall standings. Today, TSM will face 100 Thieves, who are currently in second place in the overall standings.
TSM (formerly known as Team SoloMid) is a North American eSports team founded on the SoloMidNet community website by brothers Andy "Reginald" Dean and Dan "Dan Dinh" Dinh in September 2009. Since June 2021, the organization has been known as TSM FTX in cybersports, not related to Riot Games, as it is not allowed to use the name in League of Legends or VALORANT due to sponsorship restrictions.
The team was first spotted in early 2011 after forming for the Riot Season 1 Championship that year. Previously, the organization hosted TSM Darkness and the now disbanded Team SoloMid Evo. TSM is the only team to qualify for the first seven World Championships, and the only team to qualify for the first ten NA LCS finals.
TSM completely failed in the spring split. After finishing in 9th place by a score of 5-13, the guys left too early to prepare for the summer split, before which they replaced their midlaner and snapper.
100 Thieves: It's time to get your winning streak back
100 Thieves started this split pretty well. Having beaten TSM on the first game day, the guys gained more confidence before the meeting with Evil Geniuses, but on the second game day, they were trampled. Finished 100 Thieves match, against Dignitas, which won without problems, thus went to the score 2-1, at the end of the first game week. The guys started the second week with a solid win, against the Golden Guardians, thereby going to a score of 3-1. At the end of the week, 100 Thieves met Cloud9, who beat the guys without much trouble, thus sending them to the fourth line, with a score of 3-2. At the beginning of the third week, 100 Thieves confidently beat Team Liquid, thus with a score of 4-2 began to challenge for a second place together, with CLG. At the end of the week, 100 Thieves easily defeated Immortals, getting closer and closer to first place, but a loss at the start of week four against FlyQuest dropped the guys to third place. At the end of the week, 100 Thieves faced CLG, who they defeated with no problems, and due to the loss of Team Liquid, 100 Thieves took second place in the overall standings. Today the guys will meet TSM, which they should beat quite easily.
100 Thieves (short for 100T or 100) is an American cybersports organization created by the Call of Duty character "Nadeshot" and the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers team. On November 20, 2017, Nadeshot announced that the 100 Thieves would return to the world of cybersports as they won a slot in the LCS franchise league. The organization had previously fielded a Call of Duty lineup before breaking up and was one of the new teams to join the newly created LCS Franchise League. Since then, they have been one-time LCS champions, two-time medalists, and one-time World Championship participants.
The 100 Thieves had a pretty good spring split. After finishing third overall, 12-6, the boys made the playoffs. The playoff stage itself was interesting. After beating Cloud9 3-0 and then Team Liquid 3-2, the 100 Thieves advanced to the grand final via the top net. But all of those exploits were trampled by Evil Geniuses, who beat the guys 3-0, thereby taking their only slot at MSI 2022. Before the summer split, the organization did not make any lineup replacements.
