MOUZ vs Eternal FIre Prediction: MOUZ looks more convincing

MOUZ have accepted another invitational at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and will get some competitive practice before further major tournaments. MOUZ are currently in the top three teams in the HLTV rankings, but their position in the rankings is very precarious. Not far away are G2 Esports and Team Spirit, and the latter also came to Belgrade to regain their place in the top 3. Therefore, MOUZ has a lot of motivation to do well at the tournament.

The Mice are showing very consistent results in 2024. On average, the team always reaches the semi-finals at dash-1 events, the failure was only in Dallas (9-12th place), but it is levelled by victories at ESL Pro League Season 19 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, which was held in May. Torzsi noted that MOUZ doesn't rely on a single star player; every player can affect the outcome. And, indeed, in the lineup of the Mice, anyone can shoot at the level of a full-fledged star at any time. Jimmphat, xertioN and Brollan take turns pulling off some tough matches, torzsi is stable with AWP, and when siuhy comes on (which usually happens in grand finals), MOUZ can win tournaments at all. In Cologne, the team didn't stand out with crazy stats, but was equally effective in both attack and defence, taking over 50% of the rounds.

MOUZ is slowly rolling into the autumn season on the professional scene. At the Esports World Cup 2024 and IEM Cologne 2024 the team did not show their usual maximum and made unforced errors, but this is a consequence of the long break and lack of hard practice after the rest. In the near future, MOUZ's calendar will be quite tight, and this will allow the players to get to the ideal conditions and possibly win the tournament in Belgrade.

Eternal Fire

The Turks have slid down to 19th place in the HLTV rankings, although they were close to the top 5 in the spring. The usual instability of Eternal Fire on the dash-1 level is explained by the not always successful performances of most of the players in the team. One exception is XANTARES - former BIG player has been dragging Eternal Fire to the top for a year now, but in order to secure a place in the top 10, we need an equally stable and strong player.

It would seem that woxic is the one to fill this role, but the sniper also has his good and bad games. Wicadia is still young and cannot generate success on a consistent basis. In 2024, MAJ3R turns on more often, but not as often as needed. Calyx predominantly works out in the supporting positions, but is not a star player. At the Copenhagen Major, Eternal Fire finished in 5th-8th place, behind only champion Natus Vincere. Then the Turks were able to prepare strategies and gain good form, but did not adapt to the changes and all the work went down the drain. Already at ESL Pro League Season 19 they failed to get out of the group, and then suffered fiascoes from Dash-1 teams, as they were able to understand the principles of aggression of Eternal Fire.

Eternal Fire's path at Dacha was quite easy, with Aurora and 9Pandas failing to cause huge problems. In the seeding match, the Turks lost to FURIA Esports at Dust II with two overtimes, everything was decided in the little things. But these are all dash-2 level battles, and to get past MOUZ, you need to put in more resources and put in 200%.

Eternal Fire can fight in the bottom set and go deep enough in the playoffs, but the opening match against MOUZ will be a tough one for the Turks. Even not in prime form, the mice look more convincing in the eyes of both HLTV and the bookies. It is unlikely that XANTARES and company will find a way to win even one card.
