Kingsmen vs Action PH: Kingsmen go for another trophy

Tuesday, January 25, will be the day of the Zotac Cup Playoffs. The Kingsmen and Action PH will battle it out to make the grand final in this showdown.

Zotac Cup is an intra-regional tournament that aims to pit the best teams from South Asia against the best teams in Southeast Asia for the US$15,000 prize money and the Asia-Pacific Champion's crown.

The Malaysian side's journey in this tournament began with a technical victory against ONIC G. In detail, these teams were to play in 2 tournaments, one after the other, but after the victory over ONIC G in the first tournament, they refused to participate in the second. As a result, Kingsmen got into the main stage of the Zotac Cup without a struggle, and ONIC G took first place in that tournament.

Kingsmen faced FULL SENSE in the first match, which we could see in the Valorant Champions, but such a formidable opponent couldn't take the match, going 1-2 on cards (7:13 Ascent, 13:7 Fracture, 10:13 Haven) to the bottom of the table. Their next opponent was Enigma Gaming, who started to impose a fight from the first map, taking the first half by a score of 8:4. As much as Kingsmen struggled, the first map favoured Enigma Gaming with a score of 14:12. On the second map, everything fell into place. 13:2 at their own choice, and we were waiting for the third map that changed hands, however on the score of 11:11, Kingsmen managed to squeeze out a 13:11 map and reach the final of the top bracket.

Kingsmen should have no problem passing their next opponents, but the Malaysian squad gave away one map in almost all their matches, which could be one of the deciding factors.

All of the players in this Filipino squad have qualified for the bigger stages of the Valorant Champions Tour, but together we first saw them at The Esports Club - Challenger Series 6, where they came in second place and made their mark. Next came first place at the AXE Genesis Tournament and a very difficult trip to the Zotac Cup, where they had to play all three maps in a series of extra rounds.

In the tournament itself, Action PH met up with Nigma Galaxy, where several of the players in this Filipino squad came from. Although all three maps were played, each one was a smash. First, Action PH took a 13-3 lead, then Nigma Galaxy answered with a 13-5 run and finally, with a 13-8 run, Action PH took their opponents to the bottom of the table. The second match was tougher, but still 2-1 on maps (13:10 Haven, 8:13 Breeze, 13:8 Bind). Action PH defeated the team of Velocity Gaming and made it to the final of the top draw.

The Filipino squad is now considered the outsiders in the match against the Kingsmen, but everything will be decided on the third map.

I believe this match will go over all three maps, so I'll take Total Over 2.5 maps for 2.00.

As well, I'll take a chance and take a win for Kingsmen for 1.65.
