EDward Gaming vs LNG Esports Prediction, Betting Tips & Odds │25 AUGUST, 2022

On Thursday, August 25, the LPL Summer 2022 playoff stage of the Chinese League of Legends Summer Championship will continue. EDward Gaming and LNG Esports will play in the first round of the lower bracket of elimination games.

Being held for the tenth time in its history, the summer part of the tournament includes competitions 17 of the best Chinese teams to play each other in the group stage. The top ten teams will advance to the playoff stage, where $626,523 in prize money will be drawn.

EDward Gaming returned to the top of the Chinese league in 2021, finishing 3rd in the 2021 LPL Spring Split, losing 2-3 to outright spring champions Royal Never Give Up. There were no changes to the team before the summer split, and in the summer of 2021, they became the Chinese champions, defeating FunPlus Phoenix 3-1 in the final, allowing them to win their first LPL title since the 2017 summer split and receive a direct invite to Worlds 2021. At the Worlds, EDward Gaming finished second in their group with a 4-2 record, losing one game each to the T1 and 100 Thieves squads. Making the playoffs, EDward Gaming faced Royal Never Give Up, who they managed to defeat 3-2. With another 3-2 victory over Gen.G Esports in the semifinals, the team advanced to the grand final of the World Cup, where the Chinese players faced DAMWON Gaming. After losing 1-2, they won the final two maps and sensationally win their first ever League of Legends World Championship, bringing the championship trophy back to China.

After this resounding victory, the organization decided not to sign any new players. The only changes: JunJia left for Rare Atom, plus one of the coaches CorGi left the team; Hope went to JD Gaming. But all the players who left the team are far from the core roster, so the organization should not have noticed the loss of fighters.

Reigning World Champions had an extremely weak spring split as if they decided to rest on their laurels the whole season. 7-8th place at the end of the spring is a bad result. But come on, the spring is the second year in a row under the auspices of the RNG, and the summer decides who will go to the world championship, while the current champion is far from a ticket to the triumphant tournament.

Before the summer split, the lineup didn't change much. JunJia returned from a lease and went back to Rare Atom, Xiaoxiang went to ThunderTalk Gaming - this is the second and final change in the lineup. The group stage of the LPL Summer Split went with a squeak for this squad. A statistic of 11-5 and fifth place in the table forced the world champions to start in the second round of the playoffs. In the first elimination game, EDward Gaming defeated FunPlus Phoenix (3-1). The first two maps were benchmarks, then the problems started. They lost the third and were close to losing on the fourth, but a comeback took the favorites to the next round. But the problems in the game of the reigning world champions continue.

I expected that EDward Gaming would leave the tournament already, and the RNG guys would beat them. Still, the Spring Split champions and MSI blew a crucial match and let the reigning world champions go to the stage where you can already make one mistake. The match with RNG ended with a confident 3-1 victory.

A step away from the success the world champions were in the match against Top Esports, the team EDG led on the maps with a score of 2-1 but allowed TES to come back and knock EDward Gaming into the losers' bracket, where they will have to fight with LNG Esports.

Most of the current LNG Esports lineup made their team debut at Demacia Cup 2020. M1kuya, Tarzan, and Icon joined the team, replacing chenlun17, Xx and Maple. This squad finished 13-16 behind Vici Gaming and EDward Gaming in their group, but the lineup was largely retained until the start of the LPL 2021 Summer Split, with Ale joining the team in place of M1kuya, who had gone into reserve. LNG Esports finished the summer split in 4th place, allowing the team to advance to the 2021 regional finals, where LNG Esports beat Rare Atom 3-0 and Team WE 3-1 to qualify for the 2021 World Championship.

The Chinese team started at Worlds 2021 from the Play-In stage, where it dealt with all of its opponents. They were defeated by Hanwha Life Esports of Korea, PEACE of Australia, RED Canids of Brazil, and Infinity eSports of South America. The Chinese team had three wins and three losses in the group stage. This statistic did not allow the "blue dragons" to reach the playoffs, but for the debut of the World Championship - a gorgeous result.

Before the start of the new LPL 2022 Spring Split, the team renewed the roster with two players: the Korean Doinb, who won the World Championship with FunPlus Phoenix in 2019, joined the mid, and the Chinese player LvMao, who played for many years in the JD Gaming team, also arrived as a support player. The LNG Esports team finished last spring's split in 5th-6th place with the renewed lineup. Before this summer, the team did not change its roster and played quite mediocre until the playoffs.

Oh, how many bets has this team ruined in this LPL playoffs? The Dragons started in the first round and were clear underdogs in all games, but still took out opponent after opponent.

The first to suffer at the hands of LNG Esports was Bilibili Gaming players (3-1). Next, dragons knocked out the opponents from Weibo Gaming (3:1), and then the guys from Victory Five were knocked out of the tournament (3:2). The only ones who could stop the cheeky fellows from LNG Esports were their opponents from JD Gaming (0:3), but they didn't manage to do anything. But at that time, the dragons had the right to make a mistake, but now it's gone. But the most important thing in this split, the players of LNG Esports won a slot in the regional finals. The fight for a slot in the World Cup is ahead, and you can drop out of this LPL draw with peace of mind.

The total of frags in the match will be over 94.5 for 1.83.

The correct score of the match is 3-1 in favor of EDward Gaming. This is for fans of risky bets with big odds - 3.10.
