Xtreme Gaming is still the main Chinese secret, because this team has not played in any international tournament so far this season. Moreover, this tag is newly formed and the "last chance" qualification is the first international test for these players under the Xtreme Gaming brand. However, this team has tremendous experience. Just look at one mid laner Paparazi or the experienced trio of old eLeVeN, let's not forget about the most experienced pair of spporters in the face of Pyw and Dy. The only weak link of Xtreme Gaming is young carry lou who joined the top team for the first time.
Xtreme Gaming DPC began the 2021/22 cycle in the second division. In the Winter Regional League, the team became the champion among the second echelon squads of China and got a ticket to the elite. After that, the team strengthened with the old eLeVeN and carry lou. With the new roster, the team shone at the Intel World Open Beijing (2nd place) and OGA Dota PIT Season 6: China (1st place).
Xtreme Gaming started the spring round of the regional league as one of the favorites. In the spring, the team finished second and third in the regional finals, which were staged in China due to teams from that region missing the Swedish majors. In the summer, the Chinese team finished third in their league, but due to visa issues, Xtreme Gaming declined to participate in the American major and fully prepared all summer for the Chinese regional qualification for TI11. In the qualification itself, Xtreme Gaming reached the final, where they lost without a chance to RNG (0-3). At the Last Chance Qualifier, the Chinese squad of Xtreme Gaming is the main contender for one of the two slots in the group stage of TI11.
Team Liquid: online kings to stump up again
A legendary tag that won at The International, is now interesting because the carry of this team MATUMBAMAN announced that this way behind the aegis may be his last. What are your expectations from this Western European representative? Non for us, personally. Team Liquid performed well in the online regional league, but when it came to LAN games, the Swedish-Finnish squad just disappeared.
Let's not go far and recall all Liquid went through in this DPC cycle:
- ESL One Stockholm 2022 (major) — 9-12th place;
- Riyadh Masters 2022 — 9-10th place;
- PGL Arlington Major 2022 (major) — 9-12th place;
- ESL One Malaysia 2022 — 11-12th place.
Team Liquid finished third in TI11 qualifying, and somehow managed to secure a spot in the "last chance" qualifier for The International 2022. But what are the prospects for this squad at the next LAN this season? Next to none, and the match against the main favorite of this qualification will prove it.
