Another Brazilian team has made it to the elite division of the regional league. Wolf Team appeared in December 2021, just before the new DPC cycle. The team finished fifth in the second division in the winter round, and at the end of the spring, they made it to the second spot, allowing them to go for promotion.
This offseason, the Brazilians changed their five. Duster came to the team came. He played in the spring for NoPing e-sports, and CIS fans know him for his trip to Ukraine in the team B8.
In the first match in the elite, Wolf Team met with Tempest and lost 0:2. In this case, the Brazilians should have closed the first map without any problems, but their moral component let them down in the second game. The team stands well on the lanes but does not work on the structures, searching for endless fights. In a game with beastcoast, the Brazilians have little chance of success.
beastcoast: Smooth sailing into the summer tour
The beastcoast squad had a decent showing in the last Swedish major, finishing 5th or 6th and securing a place in TI11, the spring season saw a decline of the legendary squad that played together for more than three years.
Many attributed the decline of beastcoast in the first DPC league to the lack of a major, but it didn't go away in the second regional league. The Peruvians miraculously qualified for the Swedish major, which was not going to be the best for them in the group. The Peruvians could not come away with a clean victory throughout the group stage, winning only four of the twelve maps played by beastcoast in the majors. But that didn't stop the team from proving itself in the playoffs.
The beastcoast team has continued to play the same lineup since 2019, a change not even provoked by poor play at TI10, although the Beasts were the best team in the region at that tournament, getting at least into the playoff stage. Looking at all the teams in South America, it's hard to imagine who, other than Thunder Awaken, can match beastcoast when they are motivated and not trying to experiment with draft picks.
The favorite started the summer regional league tour with a match against Infinity (2-0) and handled their opponent with no problems. Expect the domination to continue.
Expert Betting Tips
On the first map, the teams will please with a lot of frags, so I suggest betting on Total Over 51.5 for 1.82.
Beastcoast will win the second map with a handicap (-11.5) frags; the odds are 1.65.
I see beastcoast winning here with a handicap (-1.5) on the maps for 1.70. This is the most reliable option to bet on.
