On the night of Saturday, June 19, the second game week of the third round of the DPC North America Regional Dota 2 League will continue. The teams TSM and 5RATFORCESTAFF will continue the next game day of the league's summer tourney.
DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I is an online Dota 2 tournament that will run from June 07 to July 13, 2022. Eight of the strongest teams from the North American region will compete for $205,000. TSM never has a problem with opponents from their region below their class, which is most of the DPC league. But as shown by the last major in Sweden - in Europe too, the guys were not lost, becoming vice-champion of the tournament, losing in the final to OG (1:3). This team has already secured a place in TI11, but this squad is hungry for victories, and if we consider that the Summer Major in August will be held in the USA - TSM won't give up the summer tour of the regional league. The team started with an easy victory over The Cut (2-0), but the organizers did not let the guys speed up and put the strongest opponent in the tour's second match. The Quincy Crew managed to outplay TSM and you can sing the praises of QC's players all you like, but TSM gave the game away themselves by picking incomprehensible draft picks twice. What is that? Self-confidence or relaxation? But there will be no problems in the upcoming game.
The TSM team is ex-Undying. To be honest, I liked the Undying team for its identity. This is a real team that, in a year, not just got together and somehow played in their region, and the guys were selected for the TI10 and showed themselves quite well in some places. The main problem of the pack was the lack of organization, the money was the real problem, and I'm very glad that such a famous organization as TSM signed these guys. Usually, when CIS talent "lands on the payroll," the game suddenly disappears somewhere. Still, the current TSM won their regional finals in February, bringing them closer to participating in TI11.
If we go over the TSM team personalities, the Czech offlaner SabeRLight, who played for the now-disbanded Ninjas in Pyjamas not so long ago, stands out in the team. He is no stranger to North America, having been on loan to Quincy Crew in 2019, so he knows the region well.
The current TSM was assembled based on the Undying team, which, in turn, was formed mainly by representatives of the disbanded CR4ZY team: Bryle, MoonMeander, and DuBu, noting that the latter still has experience as a coach. The Korean player played at The International 2015 as part of the MVP and finished 7th-8th in the tournament at the time.
The Peruvian Timado is an interesting carry player for the TSM team, who shows a stable game. At TI10, we didn't really believe in these guys, but they managed to surprise us by taking points from any team. Virtus.pro and T1 managed to beat the Americans, but OG and Invictus Gaming could not overcome the feisty Undying guys. They even beat their principled opponents from EG but lost in the losers in the first round of the playoffs. After TI10, the team didn't change the roster but only got organized, and now they're TSM.
5RATFORCESTAFF: The fall can't be stopped
5RATFORCESTAFF is a North American team formed to compete in the North American Regional DPC League 2021-2022. The team has changed its roster constantly over the three rounds, and summer was no exception.
Before the summer tour, the team was joined by Speeed, an unremarkable player known in the American region as content creator for the YouTube channel GameLeap Dota 2. Overall, the 5RATFORCESTAFF lineup is purely American. Most of the pack has been playing together since February of this year, and they are the ones who led this team to the elite division by winning the second in the spring round: dnm, Lil_Nick, Giant, and albinozebra1.
The team has already played two matches in the elite and lost both of them. And if the defeat against Quincy Crew (0:2) was easy for the elite debutants, the defeat against The Cut (1:2) could cost the guys a place in the top division. The game against TSM looks like a long shot for the boys.
