Team Spirit kept up the tradition of playing full BO3 matches in China, no matter who they were up against. Natus Vincere beat them on the first day of the competition, but the first map was intense, and the Dragons had to give it their all. The first game shows that the reigning TI champions are still finding their rhythm and figuring out their strategy. The Bears also gave the Dragons a run for their money, taking the map and the series from Team Spirit. One loss for the current TI champions isn't a big deal, but the team still has some issues.

The Dragons learned a harsh lesson at the Riyadh Masters tournament. It's impossible to turn on the unstoppable mode at the big tournaments all the time. Team Spirit had to face some challenges, and they did just now. Last season's winners didn't want to just make it into the top eight.
