This was the only team in the region that couldn't win a map for a long time, losing 0-2 to Quincy Crew, Team Undying, 4 Zoomers and Evil Geniuses. But it should be understood that all the opponents were from the category of regional favourites, and since the last game, the games started far from the top squads. The first victory the guys got against streamers from Arkosh Gaming (2-0), who must leave the elite division, they have no place among the best teams in the region with their defections, the content can do and with teams of the second division.
The first win did not help the guys to leave the last line, but with a 1-4 statistic, they are not the only ones, so replay for keeping their place in the elite is real, but it is better to win the remaining two games, although Wildcard Gaming are now playing on their head.
The TOOBASED team was formed in 2021 to make a fruitful DPC 21-22 season. The former squad won Division Two of the North American DPC League last season and earned the right to play in the region's elite. Ryoya was signed for these tasks, but this renowned player has failed so far all last season. Even with the new star teammate, the new squad does not inspire much confidence.
Before Ryoya's arrival, the simply TOOBASED squad took part in the ninth season of the BTS tournament. After failing the entire group stage, the boys started the playoff series from the bottom of the bracket, where they failed to cope with their opponents from Hokori (1-2).
Looking at the entire roster for the elite division, this team looks like one of the main contenders for relegation. The team is a lifter, and if, perhaps, they are capable of squeezing maps from someone, but certainly not teams of the level of QC, EG and Undying.
Wildcard Gaming: The fight continues
Wildcard Gaming is a North American eSports organisation that has decided to break into Dota 2 in December 2021. WG has acquired a D2 Hustlers squad that has made a good showing in the North American arena.
This season is shaping up nicely for Wildcard Gaming so far, with 3-2 stats still allowing even hope for the majors, although not everything depends on these guys. They had their best match of the season against EG (2-0), putting a legendary tag with the likes of themselves with a chance at the first major in 2022.
Before that epic win, though, there was a disappointing opening match against Team Undying (0-2), but then there was a classy game against Arkosh Gaming (2-0). The Wildcard Gaming boys finished the year with a 1-2 defeat to Quincy Crew, but the team put up a fight for the grand. The new year saw a 2-1 victory over Black N Yellow. A game against an outsider should come easily.
