Playoff.
On August 4, PuckChamp and Team Spirit will play their first match in the Dota2 Champions League Season 2 playoffs. The Dragons are the clear favourites to win. Will PuckChamp be able to surprise their more experienced opponent, or will they fall straight to the bottom of the table?
PuckChamp: Bad luck
PuckChamp were a bit unlucky. In their first playoff match, the team ran into an invited team, and that team was Team Spirit, one of the strongest teams in the CIS. PuckChamp finished sixth in the standings, and that was the last place that gave the team a chance to make the playoffs in the first division. Right now, PuckChamp are playing very unstable, a good win followed by an embarrassing defeat and that’s how it’s been going all through the group stage. In my opinion, nothing will change in the playoffs and it is foolish to expect that PuckChamp will suddenly start to play and be able to pass such a formidable opponent.
Team Spirit: The invited team
Team Spirit are one of only two teams invited to the playoffs. The squad hasn’t played an official match in a very long time. The last time Team Spirit played in June, they qualified for The International 10. The team was able to qualify but has not done so easily. Nevertheless, teams such as PuckChamp should pass the Dragons without any problems. In the last head-to-head encounter, Team Spirit’s opponents failed to score even ten fractions on any map and were naturally very far from victory. In my opinion, nothing will change, and Team Spirit will also confidently win with a score of 2-0.
Expert Betting Tips
Team Spirit are the clear favorite to win the match and should have no problem in the future. In their head-to-head encounters, PuckChamp have never been close to a victory, and in my opinion, this will not happen today either.
The bookmakers are offering odds of 1.68 on Team Spirit’s 2-0 win, which looks like a good bet.
