Claim Your Welcome Bonus!OG: tough situation for the last major champion
The current OG team continues to hold the brand of an aggressive squad and that style of play helped them win the first major of 2022 and perform well in all regional leagues, resulting in a guaranteed trip to TI11.
It should be noted that at the Riyadh Masters 2022 in late July, OG was playing in full strength. Finally, Misha was able to solve all the problems, who wasn't present at the victorious for his team major. However, the OG support was not allowed to the second major again due to the visa problems. In the USA, the legendary Ceb will stand in again, but could he prepare something besides his Swedish Windranger that won't surprise anyone?
In the U.S., OG has begun to have problems. So far, the European team doesn't have a single win, losing to PSG.LGD (0-2) and drawing twice with Team Liquid (1-1) and Fnatic (1-1). These results keep OG out of the playoff zone for now and it's time for the players of this squad to start winning and the match against Soniqs is a great opportunity to catch up.
Soniqs: all-important points game
Soniqs is the former Quincy Crew, the winner of the first North American Regional League this DPC cycle 2021/22. Quincy Crew players were the most outraged about the cancellation of the first major. It was no surprise since they should have been preparing for the playoffs in the major, only to get another four-team regional showdown. The QC players failed at the regional finals, becoming only the third team in their region to receive no extra DPC points. Whether that resulted from a reluctance to play after the cancellation of the Majors is possible, but in the second DPC league, the guys failed in the replay. With six wins and only one loss, Quincy Crew was forced to have a replay, which they failed miserably, leaving them without a major, which was held in May.
In the new summer tour, the team was once again formed around the first and second playing positions, Quinn and YawaR, joined from Alliance by Brazilian third position carry player LESLÃO, with MSS and Fata defending the honor of the team in the support position. Quincy Crew is stil a force to be reckoned with. The team has become second in the summer tour, so the American squad will perform for the home audience. The main thing is that they have something to show and not to fail miserably.
The Major is the only international tournament where Quincy Crew will play before TI11 (if they get there). It's a shame they lost the qualification to TSM (2-3) for ESL One Malaysia 2022, but it's important to get DPC points on the Major to not worry about getting to the Int, although if EG and TSM make it to the main tournament of the year, it's hard to imagine who can fight Quincy Crew in the North American qualification.
Soniqs is in a slightly worse situation than OG, because their players have already played one more game and have two draws (RNG and Thunder Awaken) and two losses (Team Liquid and Talon Esports) under their belt. Their opponents from OG are now the main rivals in the battle for survival in the tournament.
Head-to-head encounters
Team OG has never had a problem with Quincy Crew. The two teams crossed paths twice in 2021, and twice the Europeans took the upper hand. Those victories came on TI10 and ESL One Summer 2021.
