The next game day of the second season of the DPC League in the Southeast Asia division will take place on Saturday, May 15. The tournament’s top underdog Lilgun will face current leader TNC Predator. Does the Mongolian squad have a chance?
Dota Pro Circuit 2021: S2 - Southeast Asia Upper Division is the second regional DPC league in Southeast Asia. The leagues are divided into first and second divisions, each of which has 8 teams. In the first division, the fight is for two tickets to the Major and a prize pool of $205,000. In the second division, the teams battle for two tickets to the elite division of the second regional league and a prize fund of $75,000. The games will run from April 14 to May 20, 2021.
Lilgun: Will they slam the door for last?
The Lilgun team appeared in January 2021, it gathered only for the sake of the DPC leagues and consists of purely Mongolian players who were able to surprise the entire region, confidently winning the second division.
The Mongols were distinguished by the excellent organization of their game, it was evident that the second division was not their place. In the offseason, Mongolian players participated in some non-rated tournaments and lost almost all their games there. Is this a bad form? We do not think the priority of this DPC team. The feature of this team is their love for the “vile” heroes. Where else can you see a Lucan ban in the first stage, even in the absence of necrophos?
The guys started the second season of the DPC leagues in the top division of Asia but left it ahead of schedule. There are two final matches left to play, which have nothing to do with them.
In the first match of the season, the Mongols lost 1-2 to the Omega Esports team. They won the second map on the branded Huskar; in the more or less default drafts, the weak level of play of the entire team stands out. The second game was with BOOM Esports and the Mongols lost to them 2-0. The T1 team also did not experience any problems with the Mongols and beat them 2-0. The Lilgun team lost to Fnatic and OB Esports x Neon with the same score, 2-0.
The Mongols can only slam the door well for the last, but with TNC it will be extremely difficult to do it.
TNC Predator: The former confidence returned to the team
TNC Predator kicked off last DPC season with a sensational 0-2 defeat to Execration. The repeated TI participant lost to a team that got into the elite through closed qualifiers. In the new season, the grand once again met with this Philippine team at the start, but without any problems defeated it 2-0.
TNC Predator players prepared for the start of the new season through the Asia Pacific Predator League tournament. In APAC, all the players showed themselves very well. The team is ready to get into the Major this season, no one in the team will forgive the repetition of failure.
After the starting victory over Execration (2-0), another one followed, over Omega Esports (2-0). They also had success in games with the OB Esports x Neon (2-1) and BOOM Esports (2-1) teams. The only fly in the ointment was given to the guys by the opponents from T1 (1- 2), who very easily coped with the leader of the region on the second and third maps.
Today they have a passed opponent who should be considered as a sparring partner before the main fight with Fnatic in the final round. In that match, the fate of the TOP-1 region will be decided.
