Hokori is probably the most unexpected guest at this year's The International. No one expected these guys to make it to the year's main tournament. In regional qualifying, they fell to the lower bracket pretty quickly and beat all their opponents without losing any maps. In the final match, Hokori outplayed Infamous 3-0. An amazing result. After that, the team played in BTS Pro Series Season 12, where they placed third. It is clear that Fnatic, whom they outplayed during the tournament, didn't give 100%, but the result is still not bad. The team is the main underdog in Group A, and even a few map wins would be a success.
Gaimin Gladiators: An easy win
Gaimin Gladiators managed to qualify for The International 11 directly. The team had a good first DPC season, which allowed them to score the required points. After that, the team looked extremely weak. Constant defeats at the hands of their 2/3 opponents and a struggle to keep their place in Europe's first division. In recent months Gaimin Gladiators has been in a very bad way. Only defeats to Unique or Brame are worth mentioning. The team has not had any match practice for over two months now. It is still unclear if the boys have been able to train something. Although Gaimin Gladiators is hardly favorite for the tournament. Even a playoff appearance in the top flight is highly questionable. But they'll need to beat such a weak opponent. They'll do it with confidence.
