October 7 marks the start of The International 10, the tournament that the entire eSports community has been waiting for two years. Elephant: An easy win
Elephant are one of the favourites to win the tournament. The squad looks very strong and will be a contender for the top 5 of The International. The team previously participated in the i-League 2021 Season 2 and managed to take fourth place, which, given the composition of the participants, looks like a good result. Of course, one can argue for a long time that the tournaments before The International don’t always show the true strength of the teams, that someone is saving his energy, someone doesn’t want to show his achievements and plays with old ideas. Still, in China, the level of play in all tournaments was relatively high. In i-League 2021 Season 2, the teams really battled. It’s clear that Elephant won’t finish last in the group and will make the playoffs. Still, I think they’re hoping to make the top draw, and that’s why they have to play the underdogs of the tournament with maximum concentration, especially when they’re up against one of the top outsiders in the tournament.
Fnatic: They have been playing weakly
Fnatic have been looking very weak of late. The team seems insecure even in their region, regularly allowing weaker teams to beat them. From the last six matches, Fnatic won only two, and these victories were over relatively weak teams. I don’t think Fnatic’s level of play will noticeably increase during the month break. The team should not be in last place in the group, but it is unlikely to rise above sixth place and make at least two rounds in the playoffs. At the moment, Fnatic and Elephant are not on the same levels, and it will take a real miracle for Fnatic to struggle against the Chinese team.
