Last November, Blacklist added new players to their roster - Abed, Gabbi, and Carlo - signaling the beginning of a new phase of a promising roster. Previous efforts to create a super team to compete in the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 were unsuccessful. The team failed to qualify for the regional competition and did not reach TI 2023. This bad experience led to significant changes and the acquisition of Filipino free agents. In November, Shopify Rebellion released half of their Dota 2 roster, allowing Abed to consider other options and offers. Gabbi temporarily became part of Entity at TI 2023. For these players, the move to Blacklist was a homecoming, while Carlo joined the team from Execration, a team previously considered a regional outsider. Blacklist now is looking to make a serious run at the biggest tournaments of the new season. They performed poorly at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, finishing in 9th-10th place. After an invitation to the BetBoom Dacha Closed Qualifiers, the team lost without advancing far on the grid. In the DreamLeague Closed Qualifier, this team received a direct invite and is considered one of the favorites for the one seat in the main event.
Among Us
The Indonesian-Malaysian stack made it to the DreamLeague through the thorns of two open regional qualifiers. In the first round, the Bleed Esports opponents quickly eliminated Among Us. But on the second try, this team made it to the closed qualifier for the main event, knocking out Geek Fam.
Their linep is wierd:
carry Dreamocel did not play for two years;
midlaner Moon also took a six-month break and did not play in the major tournaments of 2023;
Fbz returned to Asia after a bit of experience in Team Secret;
support ponlo failed in Alliance;
Roddgeee spent the last year trying to get a foothold in Geek Slate.
In theory, this hodgepodge can take games or maps from anyone, but it will be extremely difficult to counter the Asian leaders.
Expert Betting Tips
Of course, the oddsmakers have Blacklist International as the favorite, and rightfully so. Regarding names, this team is a few heads above Among Us, but recall that this is the Asian region, and the teams can have some fun here.
