Arkosh Gaming vs simply TOOBASED: The ultimate for simply

North America's first DPC league of the 2021/22 season continues on Thursday, January 06. Arkosh Gaming and simply TOOBASED will meet in the second matchday of the elite division.

DPC NA 2021/22 Tour 1: Division I is an online Dota 2 tournament from November 30, 2021, to January 22, 2022. Eight of the strongest teams in the North American region will compete for $205,000. In addition to the cash prizes, the teams compete for two tickets to the majors and the important DPC points needed to qualify for T11.

Arkosh Gaming: A battle for elite status

Arkosh Gaming is a North American Dota 2 team created by SirActionSlacks in October 2020 to increase viewership in North America. The team includes five anonymous players and has a demon worship theme.

In what other region can casters who haven't played at the pro level in a long time stack up in the same team? Arkosh Gaming in the NA region gives this opportunity to Americans Pale Horse at the cover, Forsaken Oracle at mid and Gremlo at support. The project is interesting because these guys play for fun, so even the elite can keep a place.

This season is going so far for these guys as expected. They lost to Evil Geniuses (0-2), Quincy Crew (0-2) and strong mid-tier side Wildcard Gaming (0-2). They won their last game of 2021 against Black N Yellow (2-1) and so far have a good chance of avoiding relegation to the second division. For that to happen, the American Dota fans need to beat a major underdog, and judging by their attitude, they can do it.

TOOBASED: No room for error

The squad was formed in 2021 to make a strong showing in the DPC 21-22 season. The former squad won the North American DPC Division II last season and gained the right to play in the region's elite. Ryoya was signed for these tasks, but this renowned player has failed to shine so far all last season. Even with the new star teammate, the new squad does not inspire much confidence.

Before Ryoya's arrival, the simply TOOBASED squad took part in the ninth season of the BTS tournament. After failing the entire group stage, the boys started the playoff series from the lower bracket, where they fell to their opponents from Hokori (1-2).

Looking at the entire roster for the elite division, this team looks like one of the main contenders for relegation. The team is a "lifter", and if, perhaps, they can squeeze maps from someone, but certainly not teams of the level of QC, EG and Undying.

So far, this is the only team in the region that hasn't managed to win a map in 4 matches, losing 0-2 to Quincy Crew, Team Undying, 4 Zoomers and Evil Geniuses. But it's worth realizing that all the opponents for the common were from the category of region favourites, and now they are starting a real fight for life and can still go to the wire of the elite American region.

Expert Betting Tips

My preference will go to the Arkosh Gaming streamers, who have been showing a more interesting game than their opponents so far. You can bet on their win for 1.78.

I don't foresee an easy game, but TOOBASED can win the first map, which means that the bet Total Over 2.5 maps looks good for 2.00.

And for the big odds fans, I suggest taking the correct score of the match 2-1 in favour of Arkosh Gaming for 3.20.
