SAW vs Sprout
Format: BO3
ESEA Premier Season 39 is an online league organized by ESEA. North American and European regional winners from each ESEA Premier season will receive a direct invite to the upcoming ESL Pro League season, plus Australian and New Zealand teams will get a chance to become part of the ESL Pro League. This strengthens the ESL Pro Tour Challenger level and allows teams to progress to the ESL Pro Tour Masters level for a chance to win a superb $50,000 prize pool and the title of ESEA Season 39 champion in 2021. The tournament is divided into two groups of nine teams. The group stage is played in a round-robin system (everybody plays everybody). The play-off stage will be played in a double-elimination bracket (any team will face the loser in a parallel match and continue). The VO5 Grand Final will be played with a one-map advantage for the team in the top bracket.
On 29 November we will be watching a clash of very controversial teams. Sprout performs perfectly in their home region, literally do not feel most of their opponents, and always give a tough fight to their compatriots from BIG. But they often get lost against other European teams, as their opposing history shows. The Portuguese team SAW, which has the oldest squad on the professional CS:GO scene. The organization has big ambitions, as evidenced by their decision to open an academy despite the disappointing results of their core squad. They have been performing at the same level for several years now, and they feel that they have reached their ceiling. The players themselves in the Portuguese organization also want titles and victories (based on interviews), but it is not always possible to stand up to the young and promising. Nevertheless, their vast experience gives them a good fighting chance, not only in this match but in the tournament as well.
