SAW vs KOI Prediction: They should have no problems against KOI

SAW is in incredible form heading into the CS2 Major. The Portuguese team has a winning streak of eight wins in a row, which started after 0:2 at RMR, and the team has no plans to end it. The nicknames arrozdoce and ewjerkz appear more often in the information box, and these are no longer nicknames - this is a new generation of players. Will the Portuguese be able to jump over their heads and play in the Legends stage in 2024?

There are prerequisites. SAW started the year by winning the national championship of Spanish and Portuguese teams, and the list of participants there is close to tier-2. In the last three months, the team has had a lot of practice against strong opponents, and in most cases, they have come out victorious. KOI appeared on the radar of the CS2 scene thanks to the merger of Movistar Riders, KOI, and MAD Lions. The base of the CS2 roster came from Movistar Riders - from here came SunPayus (last year's top 6) and alex (the current captain of Ninjas in Pyjamas, although he leads noticeably worse in Ninja). It was important for the organization to qualify for the first Major, and the team confidently passed the RMR and finished the tournament with a 3:1 record in the 3:5 bracket. Will the KOI be as battle-ready as the SAW?

After the RMR, the mopoz team often played in open qualifiers against lower-level participants. KOI made it to the closed qualifiers for IEM Dallas 2024, but they were eliminated after losing to Apeks and B8. According to statistics, the best player in the team is mopoz - the Spanish veteran deals 80 damage per round and makes 0.73 kills. KOI plays on the same map pool as SAW - ignoring Mirage and preferring Nuke. However, their win rates over the last three months are much lower: the best indicators are on Inferno.
