Players vs Sangal: An easy match for Gambit players

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 is getting closer. But before the main tournament in the first half of 2022, the teams will have to play RMR tournaments to determine who from each region is worthy to play in the major. Group B of RMR Europe kicks off on 21 April. The 16 teams from CIS and Europe will compete for eight slots in the upcoming major. Three teams will qualify for the Legends stage, and five more will qualify for the Challenger stage. CS fans can only enjoy the games of the region's strongest teams.

On April 21, Players and Sangal will play their opening match in the group stage of PGL Major Antwerp 2022: Europe RMR. We will soon find out which team will be stronger.

Players: Bad luck in the EPL

Players only managed to finish 9-12th in ESL Pro League Season 15, which is a disappointing result, but if we look a little deeper, we can see that it's not all bad. The team finished second in the group stage, winning four matches out of five. That's a good result, followed by their only playoff loss to FaZe Clan. Had the Russian team met someone else, they might well have fought for the grand final.

As for the maps, the bo1 Players are sure to ban Nuke and Inferno. The third ban would be Mirage or Overpass. On any of the remaining maps, the Russian team will feel very confident. To be honest, Players looks much stronger than their opponent and should beat them on any map. All the more so as Players' two weakest maps will be banged up. It's not obvious what Sangal can gain from this contest.

Sangal: They will gain experience

Sangal is one of the weaker teams in PGL Major Antwerp 2022: Europe RMR Group A. The team sits at number 59 on the HLTV ranking and is coming to this tournament in large part to gain experience. It's hard to imagine Sangal making it to the majors. From recent results, it is difficult to single out anything serious. A 0-3 defeat by K23, an 8-16 defeat by NiP Academy. Victories only over very weak opponents that can't even be classified as tier-2. VELOX, ECLOT, Run or Die. I doubt that anyone has even seen these teams' matches. One of the most adequate options for Sangal in this confrontation seems to be Mirage, but whether it will come to this is unknown. Sangal will be very difficult on any map and even 10 rounds look like a miracle for them.

Expert Betting Tips

Players are the favorite of the match. The Russian team should have no problem picking up their first points. The bookmakers offer 1.72 on Players' victory with a handicap (-6.5), which looks like a good option.
