No one expected that under siuhy's leadership, MOUZ would change so much already at the 18th ESL Pro League season in September. Still, they surprised almost everyone and won the last major CS:GO event, losing the tournament with only three maps out of 22. To call FaZe Clan's roster members weak would be a wrong statement, as even in their worst moments, the PGL Antwerp Major champions remain a force that should not be underestimated. However, the karrigan team has experienced difficulties in the second half of 2023.

At the last three high-profile tournaments, the team failed to make the top 8, suffering defeats at ESL Pro League, Gamers8, and IEM Cologne, much to the disappointment of their fans. However, the main argument for us to believe in FaZe is their decision not to change the roster, keeping the same five players for over 20 months.

In their first game in Sydney, FaZe team unexpectedly lost to GamerLegion on the Nuke map (15:19). Still, the team picked up the pace and, in the battle for a place in the playoffs, beat Team Vitality (2:1), Natus Vincere (2:1) and GamerLegion (2:1). In the quarterfinals they beat the tough ENCE players (2:0).
