FURIA vs BIG
Format: BO3
02.06.2022, 02:00
The first major of 2022 has come to an end. FaZe Clan has confirmed its status as the best team in the world, while Team Spirit has once again proved that you could achieve results with young players. The IEM Dallas 2022 awaits us, with almost all the strongest teams in the world coming to the event. Had it not been for visa problems, the list of participants would have been even stronger. Nevertheless, 16 teams, 14 of which are in the top 20 in the world ranking, will start on May 30 for the champion title and the prize fund of $250,000. The CIS region will be represented by Cloud9, which failed in the majors and is eager to prove to the new organization that it believes in the Russian line-up for a reason.
On June 2, FURIA and BIG will play their next match at IEM Dallas 2022. Both teams managed to surprise everyone at the start of the tournament. We'll soon find out which team will be back on their winning streak.

FURIA played well in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022. The team made the playoffs and repeated the result of the last major. It was hard to expect more. It is doubtful that the Brazilian squad will win the biggest CS:GO tournament any time soon. Nevertheless, the squad is steadily in the top 10 HLTV ranking and does not drop below a certain level. At IEM Dallas 2022, FURIA showed a great game. In their last match, the team defeated Cloud9 and did it 2-0. It was a long-awaited win for the Brazilians. Before that, they could not outplay the Russian squad, and out of ten face-offs, they won only two. Now they are facing an easier opponent.
FURIA should be comfortable playing against BIG. They will ban Dust2, and it is the strongest map of the Germans. Inferno, on which the Brazilians have only 38% of wins, will be removed by BIG itself. Thus, after the first stage of bans, FURIA will get rid of its two weakest maps. The Brazilians could pick Vertigo, which they won the last time they played in the Major. They can also try Overpass, which has been a very dominant map in recent matches, and they haven't even managed to win ten rounds for their opponents. FURIA should have a big advantage on these two maps and easily close them out in their favor.
BIG: Unexpectedly
BIG was unsuccessful in PGL Major Antwerp 2022, but the team did not get the easiest of opponents. Two of their three defeats came against teams that made the playoffs at the major. At IEM Dallas 2022, the team was able to pick up two opening victories. NiP, with the substitutes, could not offer anything against the Germans, and the victory over MiBR, I think, did not surprise anyone. Before their encounter in the majors, the teams had not met for almost a year. After that, the line-ups have changed, and it should not be given much significance to the fact that BIG had an advantage in head-to-head encounters. As for the maps, BIG is likely to spike Nuke with their pick. There is a slight chance that it will take Mirage, but the Germans have no advantage on this map. More than half of their win rate has been against teams like Apeks or Endpoint. Things are a bit better on Nuke, but you can't call BIG the favorite on Nuke. FURIA had a bad showing in the majors but remembered the ESL Pro League, where the Brazilians looked really good. Given the form of the teams, there's a good chance of a 2-0 win for FURIA.
Expert Betting Tips
FURIA looks great right now. They have outplayed their stronger opponents, and their last match in the major was very much to their liking. FURIA's odds of winning with a handicap (-4.5) are 1.62, and that's not a bad pick. The Brazilians' 2-0 win can also be taken for 2.62.
