Dusty vs Schalke 04 Prediction: Schalke's Ready to Strike Back

The Amazon European Masters 2022 Summer (EU Masters Summer 2022) is the tenth edition of Europe's premier semi-professional tournament, featuring 11 European League of Legends (ERL) regional leagues. Each ERL sends its best regional competitors to represent their country. The EU Masters serves as a secondary level of competition under the LEC and is the successor to the Challenger Series. In the main event, 16 competitors compete to become the crowned champions of the LEC Secondary Round and the € 150,000 prize pool between them. This tournament takes place from August 29 to September 25, 2022. 

Dusty: a Great Start

Surprisingly, Dusty took first place in their region and went to the EU Masters on the main stage and in quite a comfortable group for them. The debut match at this tournament was held against Macko Esports, which they won easily. Today the guys will meet with Schalke 04, who lost their opening match. But in the group stage, they'll show their best.

We hadn't seen Dusty at the EU Masters yet, as the organization only ranked third in the last split, and even before that, the results were even worse. Now Dusty is in such shape that they can go at least to the playoff stage and, at most, reach the top 4.

Dusty is a young team from Iceland created in March 2019. They started their way in the Icelandic Esports league, where they took second place in the first season and first place in the second. Next, the team gets to the Nordic Championship, where the Icelanders do not succeed at first. With time the guys managed to drag themselves into 3rd-4th place, and from there, they got into the NLC. The last season wasn't too bad for Dusty. Despite three losses in a row in Week 1 and Week 2. Schalke 04: Didn't Start Smoothly

We haven't seen Schalke 04 at the EU Masters for two reasons. The first was the organization's past when it was not in the ERL but the LEC. Thus, they could not get to the EU Masters, as they were at a higher level. When the organization got into the Prime League, the first season, the guys could not even get into the top 4, missing the spring stage of the EU Masters.

The summer split for Schalke 04 has been very good so far. The guys were repulsed in two games in the first three weeks but lost only one. That was on the first game day of the third week when BIG defeated Schalke 04 without any problems. In the fourth week the guys met Eintracht Spandau and E WIE EINFACH E-SPORTS. In the match against Eintracht Spandau, nothing worked, due to which Schalke 04 missed the opportunity to take the first line in the overall standings, but everything changed too unexpectedly. With a win over E WIE EINFACH E-SPORTS, the score was 6-2, now four teams. It is these four teams that now share first place. In week five, Schalke 04 met GamerLegion, who fell without much trouble, but there was a sensation at the end of the week. PENTA 1860 beat Schalke 04, thus sending the guys to a 7-3 score, which no longer guaranteed first place in the overall standings. In week six, Schalke 04 quietly defeated Wave Esports but made a mistake at the end of the week, losing to SK Gaming Prime. The seventh week also began with a defeat. Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition beat Schalke 04, sending them even lower overall standings. And at the end of the week, BIG made it a three-match losing streak. At the beginning of the eighth week, Schalke 04 won an important meeting against MOUZ, which allowed the guys a guaranteed playoff spot. After this victory, the guys were so energized that they won the remaining three matches on the group stage. Schalke 04 started the playoff stage with a game against Eintracht Spandau. In a close encounter, Schalke 04 beat 3:2 on the maps, but everything was too easy. 3-0 against BIG and SK Gaming Prime put Schalke 04 into the final, where the guys met Unicorns Of Love Sexy Edition. It was impossible to beat their opponents, who were at the peak of their form. Thus Schalke 04 entered the EU Masters in second place.
