Format: BO3
24.03.2022, 18:00
ESL Pro League Season 15 is one of the biggest tournaments in March and April, with 24 teams from around the world. The winner of the tournament will receive $175,000 and the ESL Pro League trophy. The total prize pool is $823,000, so there will be enough money for all participants and no one will be left without a prize. This championship will take place from March 9 to April 10, which is an unusual format for the Tier 1 scene. But for fans of the spectacular and beautiful CS, it’s all in good fun.
The group stage will be a round robin system (everybody plays everybody for points in the group). All games will be in B3 format. Play-offs will be single elimination (to one defeat) in BO3 format and in grand final there will be 5 maps played.
In the second leg of ESL Pro League Season 15, BIG will play Party Astronauts. Will this match be a simple walk for the German squad, or will the Americans win? We’ll find out the answer to that question soon.

The tabseN team made a very important substitution just a few weeks ago. In place of k1to, who has been transferred to BIG’s academy, a young and promising Krimbo has arrived. This is the first time in the history of the CS:GO scene that a core player has been transferred to the academy. If you compare the stats, even now Krimbo has higher stats than all the other core players. The KD statistics is 1.16, the percentage of hits to the head is 51.5%, it’s quite a profitable substitute and if the young player can quickly adapt to the Tier-1 level, then new successes await the team on the pro scene and possibly entering the top 10 teams. In the second game, BIG will meet the Party Astronauts, where the German squad is considered the unanimous favourite, and should have no trouble closing this meeting in their favour. It is unlikely that the Americans can show anything in a match against a stable Tier-1 team, which got a fire support as an inexperienced player from the academy. It should be noted that BIG play on home soil, which also gives the tabseN team the confidence to make the play-offs.
The German squad now takes 16th place in the rankings of the best teams in the world.
The best map in BIG is vertigo with 100% wins in 3 games played.
The worst is inferno with 0% wins.
Party Astronauts: What are the odds?
Party Astronauts are essentially a 3rd tier team that has never competed in a European Tournament. Thanks to some excellent results on the American stage and a win in the ESL Challenger League Season 40, the viz team got an invitation to their first major tournament. The ESL Pro League will be a great opportunity to showcase your skills and experience against some of the best teams in the world. As for the chances of reaching the play-off stage, unfortunately they are almost nil. It’s quite possible that the American squad will take a win in a single encounter, but that will be their maximum. There’s no point in expecting the Party Astronauts to be the dark horse either, because there’s no chance of that happening. Even despite a very good mappool of the American team it should be considered that their mappool was formed on the tier-3 stage while the BIG team formed their mappool on the tier-1 level. So even winning on a single map for the American collective is almost an impossible mission.
The American squad is currently ranked 44th in HLTV.org’s ranking of the best teams.
The best map of the Party Astronauts is inferno with 92% win rate in 12 games played.
The worst maps of the American team are dust2, vertigo and ancient with 0% wins.
