The transition to CS2 has been extremely difficult for the blameF team. Out of seven official matches in three official tier-1 tournaments, Astralis won only two and lost five, scoring 2:10 on maps. At BetBoom Dacha, the team will be joined by newcomers Stavn and Jabbi.
Despite all their losses, Astralis device and blameF had excellent HLTV ratings: 1.17 and 1.2. If you look at the Astralis games, blameF sometimes plays for everyone, while device has been pretty accurate throughout his career. But now Benjamin is the captain, plays in the most dangerous positions, and has the best stats on the team. And the rookies came in with no in-game leadership but with a tough captain.
Could something drastic change at BetBoom Dacha? Unlikely, despite the transfer of Stavn and Jabbi.
Virtus.pro
Virtus.pro took a more structured approach over the summer. Replacing Qikert with Mir freshened up Virtus.pro's style of play and allowed the newcomer to perform at his best. In CS2, the team won the Roobet Cup, reaching the grand final of the Thunderpick World Championship 2023 and the ESL Challenger Jonköping 2023 semifinals.
Inferno and Overpass have a 73% win rate from 11 maps, while Crown Vertigo has only played 6 games but has an 83% win rate. In the old lineup, Qikert often sacrificed his position in the team: he gave up weapons got into dangerous positions, so his stats were always lame and gave the impression that Virtus.pro was playing 4x5. Mir is a more accurate and greedy player. He doesn't score a lot of kills, but his death rate is relatively low for a typical riffler (0.65 per round). All Virtus.pro players have green markers on the death bar in HLTV, which indicates team-wide accuracy.
The main advantage for Virtus.pro in this match is the squad's chemistry, coupled with a distinct system of running games. They rely not only on FL1T's blistering fire and Jame's accurate hits but also on precise action on every inch of the map, which allows them to easily handle tier-2 squads and compete on equal terms with tier-1.
Expert Betting Tips
Astralis has invited fantastic players, but expecting them to help in the first game would be crazy. Stars have strengthened over the distance, but in this match, Virtus.pro looks more serious. They have more practice in CS2, more wins in the last three months, and a larger pool of maps. Astralis doesn't have all that.
