BIG started this split with three wins in a row. After defeating GamerLegion and PENTA 1860 in week one and Wave Esports in week two, BIG lost to SK Gaming Prime at the end of week two. Week three began with a win against Schalke 04, but UoL SE defeated BIG at the end of the week. This week the guys will meet MOUZ and Eintracht Spandau, which will be quite difficult to beat, but BIG confidently beat MOUZ, thus going to the second place in the overall standings shared between the three teams, with a score of 5-2.
Berlin International Gaming has been playing in this league since 2018. Still, in the first season, the German organization only looked at the scene, taking 3-4 places in the main league and 5-8 places in other tournaments. But in 2019, there was total BIG dominance, where they took all of the top spots in the spring split but only placed 5-8 at the actual EU Masters. When it came time for the summer split, BIG, even though they took 2nd place in the Prime League, they were only interested in the EU Masters. And here, from the Play-in stage, they reached the final, where they beat Vodafone Giants 3-1 on the maps, thus winning the 2019 EU Masters Summer Split. After such a triumph, there was a setback in 2020. The Prime League was 5-7, and there wasn't even talk of the EU Masters. In 2021, it became clear that last year was just a lineup slump. The first places in all Prime League splits gave good chances in the EU Masters, but 5-8 and 3-4 were their ceilings. At the end of the season, another 4th place in the Winter Cup sent BIG to rest until the next season.
Only Keduii was left from the old lineup for the spring split, who shows a consistently good game on the bot lane. The split itself was quite successful. The team took 6th place in the overall standings, allowing them to qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs themselves went very well. Having beaten MOUZ 3-0 in the first round, the guys were getting ready to face UoL SE in a battle for a slot on the EU Masters but lost that meeting 3-0 on the maps. For the summer season, it was decided to change only one player.
Eintracht Spandau: The main favorites of this split
Eintracht Spandau started the split with a very good start. After not the most pleasant performance at the EU Masters (9-11th place), the guys finished the first game week with very nice statistics. In the starting match, Eintracht Spandau met with Unicorns Of Love SE, who could not show anything, and the second meeting against E WIE EINFACH came out a little longer but also easy for Eintracht Spandau. The second week was just as good as the first. GamerLegion tried to put up a good fight, but they failed. PENTA 1860 was unable to do anything at all. The third week began with a tense game against Wave Esports, but Eintracht Spandau also remained undefeated. On the second game day, the guys met SK Gaming Prime, who was able to stop the victorious win streak of Eintracht Spandau. In the fourth week, the guys will meet Schalke 04 and BIG. Both teams can prevent Eintracht Spandau from coming off even stronger in wins, but the guys had to work on their mistakes after the first loss. In the day's first game, we saw this work on the mistakes. Eintracht Spandau easily defeated Schalke 04, thus remaining in first place in the overall standings, with the statistics 6-1.
Eintracht Spandau bought the Prime League slot from EURONICS Gaming, who have stopped playing on the pro scene from now on. Eintracht Spandau has no past lineups or accomplishments under their belt, but they have managed to sign big-name players who have been playing in European leagues for several years.
Pride is a Swiss top laner who has made several appearances in major leagues and EU Masters, most notably as a member of the Fnatic Rising squad.
Obsess is a German jungler who started in the French league, but a year later, he joined the Prime League, where he is still spun today. He played in Misfits Academy, MOUZ, and Schalke Evolution teams.
Special is a Dutch mid laner who has played in many minor leagues during his career and played one season in the LEC. Still, after failing to get into the main leagues in France through qualifications, he decided to play in the Prime League.
Kynetic is a German bot laner who, like Obsess, has spun his entire career in the Prime League.
Prime is a French support who played in the Spanish league for a long time and last season managed to get into the French league.
This five-team could not show a good game at the beginning of the spring season, keeping average near the middle of the table, but Eintracht Spandau became one of the favorites at the end of the season. The guys were one step away from the championship in their debut season, but GamerLegion stopped them with a 3-0 score on the maps. For the summer split, the organization decided not to change anything.
