End date: 28 September 2025
Rock's biggest dilemma has finally been answered: Oasis have announced that they will reunite for a 14-date UK and Ireland tour in 2025. However, Oasis will not be headlining Glastonbury, as was rumored previously, nor will they perform ten concerts at Wembley and Etihad stadiums. Instead, the concerts will be held in July and August at Cardiff, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin stadiums. Tickets are on sale from August 31. The press release described the tour as "domestic" and stated that "plans are underway" for the tour to expand outside Europe later in 2025. As for the famously estranged brothers' decision to reunite, the statement said: "There was nothing big that prompted the reunion - just a gradual realization that the time was right."

The dates of the concerts will mark 16 years since the band's infamous break-up after Noel Gallagher left the band before a gig at a festival in France, as well as 30 years since the release of their second album in 1995, What's the Story (Morning Glory)? Unlike Liam Gallagher's ongoing 30th anniversary tour of the 1994 album “Definitely Maybe,” the set list for the 2025 reunion concerts will not be specifically tailored to the album. The band's line-up has not yet been confirmed, and there are no plans for the band to re-enter the studio and record new music. The Gallagher brothers have been teasing fans on social media for the past few days, posting a clip with the date "27.08.24" in the same font as the Oasis logo on their accounts and on the band's official accounts. The band has not explained in detail how they buried the hatchet since Noel left the band at the Rock en Seine festival in 2009. Since then, the brothers have publicly feuded and denied the possibility of a reunion.
Ticket prices doubled
Tickets for the reunited Oasis concerts have gone on sale and are being sold for over £6,000 a ticket. Shortly after tickets were sold in the UK and Ireland, fans began reporting that websites, including Ticketmaster, were down, sharing screenshots of them. Oasis warned against the resale of tickets at exorbitant prices on websites not affiliated with their promoter, saying they would be canceled. However, moments after some pre-sale tickets went on sale, they were posted online for more than £6,000 - around 40 times their face value. Officially issued tickets range from £73 to £151, with the most expensive official Wembley concert package costing £506.25. American platform for buying tickets Ticketmaster is under investigation by British regulators for raising ticket prices for the announced Oasis reunion tour. The Competition and Markets Authority is investigating whether the ticket seller, a subsidiary of Live Nation Entertainment, "engaged in unfair commercial practices" in raising prices for the band's 2025 tour.

Oasis marked the Britpop era of the 1990s, gaining particular popularity with their 1994 albums “Definitely Maybe,” which sold more than 8 million copies, and 1995's “(What's the Story) Morning Glory,” which sold more than 23 million copies. Despite the band's inactivity, Oasis' legend hasn't faded: they have 21.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a huge audience among Generation Z. Earlier this year, Dua Lipa used the band's signature font in a marketing campaign for her album "Radical Optimism." Their popularity in Britain is confirmed by the way the tickets were sold out, and we believe that besides concerts in the UK and Ireland, they will have concerts in Europe and we certainly expect some new songs.
