Michael Mansell, born on August 31, 1973, is a professional darts player from Northern Ireland who competes in tournaments hosted by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Mansell advanced to the Players Championship in Dublin semi-finals in October 2010. The following week, he won the Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay, defeating Stephen Byrne in the final. This earned him a spot in the 2011 PDC World Darts Championship. In the first round, he faced New Zealand's Preston Ridd, who he lost to by a score of 0-4. As one of the four semi-finalists from the third day of Q School for the 2011 PDC Pro Tour, Mansell earned a spot on the circuit. As of May 2, 2011, Mansell had already secured his spot in the UK Open, scheduled for June. He qualified for the UK Open and placed in the top 96 overall after playing eight of the tournament's qualifying rounds. When he faced James Wade in the round of 64, he lost the match 2-9. With Brendan Dolan, he represented Northern Ireland in the quarterfinals of the 2012 PDC World Cup of Darts, where they ultimately lost to the Netherlands by a score of 0-4. This was a successful year for Mansell on the new European Tour, as he made it to three of the five tournaments. We anticipate, however, that he will have a spectacular debut in this competition.
Ben Robb - Ben Robb can pull an upset
Ben Robb, born October 24, 1988, is a professional darts player from New Zealand. He competes in PDC tournaments. Robb competed in his first televised darts tournament in 2018, but Australia's Simon Whitlock defeated him. Subsequently, Robb entered the 2019 Brisbane Darts Masters, where he was beaten 6-0 by Michael van Gerwen in the first round. He defeated Whitlock 6-4 in the first round of the 2019 New Zealand Darts Masters but eventually fell to Rob Cross in the last eight. Robb tried his luck at the PDC Qualifying School in January 2022 but didn't make the cut. We, however, look forward to seeing a great performance from him in this first match.
