Australia were the favourites to win this world cup and so far they have shown their strength by winning the first two games of the competition comfortably. They won their first game of the competition by 97 runs against New Zealand. They also chased down 108 runs in the second game with eight wickets in hand against Bangladesh. They have performed well and have been clinical with both bat and ball. All-rounder Ashleigh Gardner has been the best player for the Kangaroo women. She took five wickets against New Zealand and finished the game with the bat in the second game. Ellyse Perry reached 1500 runs in T20Is in the first game. Australia will be hoping for another clinical performance against dark horses in Sri Lanka.
