India started the year on a positive note with a victory despite making only 162 runs at Wankhede. The senior bowlers were taken for cleaners and did not have a good field day in the first game. Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel were to name a few. India relied heavily on Deepak Hooda's heroics in batting to get them to a respectable total. Mavi was great with the ball taking four wickets in the first game. India will look to sort out a few headaches and win the first series of the season.

Sri Lanka form
Sri Lanka won the Asia cup after defeating Pakistan last year but was not able to replicate the success in the World cup. In the first game, the Sri Lankan bowlers bowled their hearts out to restrict India to only 162 runs. The spin duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana were exceptional and dented the Indian batting order. In the batting department, the middle order was not of much help and was out cheaply but captain Dasun Shanaka was determined to get them home. Sri Lanka needed only 13 runs in the last over but fall short by 2 runs. The small island nation will look to level up the series with a victory in the second game.
Sri Lanka Lineup
Pathum Nissanka, Avishka Fernando, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Charith Asalanka, Dasun Shanaka (C), Wanindu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, Maheesh Theekshana, D Madushanka, Lahiru Kumara
Expert betting tips
The pitch will favour the batsman and Pune has seen high-scoring games over the years. Batting second is the best option for the toss-winning captain with dew setting in the second innings. The spinners might get some purchase in the latter overs. We expect India to do well with their new blood and a fresh squad. Expect a huge total on this ground.
