India won the series after winning the game by four wickets at Eden Gardens. They won both games in a very contrasting manner. In the first game, they were superb with the bat and all the top-order batsmen scored runs. In the second when they looked in trouble they batted sensibly to see the side home. Bowling was one of the key talking points going into the second game and India was impressed with their bowling efforts. Project World cup 2023 has gotten to a great start and India will be looking to get the third win and end this series in style.
India Predicted Lineup
Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Umran Malik, Mohammed Siraj
Sri Lanka form
Sri Lanka started the second game well when they decided to bat first but things quickly changed from being 102-1 to being all out for 215 runs. Sri Lanka has a long way to go in 50-over cricket and they look like a side who are in transition. The Lankans were not able to tackle Kuldeep's spinning deliveries which broke their backbone. With the series already gone the team will play for their pride and will be wanting to test out some new talents.
Sri Lanka Lineup
Nuwanidu Fernando, Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis (wk), Charith Asalanka, Dhananjaya de Silva, Dasun Shanaka (c), Wanindu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Dunith Wellalage, Lahiru Kumara, Kasun Rajitha
Expert betting tips
The pitch will assist bowlers more than the batsmen. The boundaries are on the shorter side which batters can take advantage of. The Pacers will get some help with the new ball and it will be interesting to see how they use them. Both the teams love to chase but bowling first will be ideal on this pitch. We expect a thrilling game and for India to come away victorious.
