The ICC Women’s World Cup has had its fair share of umpiring errors and there have been some sloppy plays but it has still lived up to the hype. Sri Lanka opened the floodgates with a win against South Africa. Then we saw some lop-sided battles and the favorites have mostly lived up to the hype around them. However, the two teams that meet here are not favorites by any shot as Ireland takes on Pakistan.

Ireland marches into the affair after losing by four wickets against England. Ireland began the game positively with Gaby Lewis finding the boundaries continuously and receiving decent support from Amy Hunter and Orla Prendergast early on. They were three wickets for 80 runs at one point and Lewis made a more than respectable 36 runs. However, from there, they lost their way completely and lost their eight wickets for 25 runs.
The bowling did more than it could despite England hitting them left and right. The lack of runs really hurt the bowlers in the end and despite picking six wickets, they fail to make a big dent. Cara Murray took three wickets for 15 runs, Orla picked up one and Arlene Kelly was impressive in her one wicket for 15 runs. Leah Paul also did well but Eimear Richardson and Jane Maguire gave 46 runs in three overs.
Pakistan
Pakistan comes into the game after a heartbreaking one-over loss against the Indian team. Pakistan had a tame start, losing four wickets for 68 runs in 73 balls. However, from there on, efforts got sloppy from India, and Pakistan picked their game up further. But credit goes to Bismah Maroof and Ayesha Naseem who put up a brilliant 81 runs partnership between them in 47 balls. Veteran Maroof made 68 runs in 55 balls whereas Naseem made 43 in 25 t carry Pakistan to 149.
In terms of bowling, Pakistan didn't leak many runs. They struck with Yastika Bhatia when the score read 38 runs in five and a half overs. Then they stifled the dangerous-looking Shafali Varma when the score was 65 runs. Harmanpreet Kaur couldn’t get going and the Pakistanis had applied great pressure to bring the equation to 55 runs in six overs. However, a composed Jemimah Rodrigues and a fiery Richa Ghosh sealed the deal for India. Nashra Sandhu was the pick of all bowlers with two wickets for 15 runs in four overs whereas Sadia Iqbal had a wicket for 25 runs in her four.

Expert Betting Tips
The Pakistani women will be recharged after a brilliant effort against India and could have won the game if they closed it out well. The Irish team has had its fair share of problems but they showed some promise against England so Pakistan can’t take them lightly. Pakistan surely won’t take them lightly because they tasted a 1-2 series defeat against them not so long ago. However, I expect them to square the matters here and predict a Pakistan win.
