The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup got off to an explosive start when Sri Lanka defeated the South Africans, the host in what is one of the biggest upsets of all time. Thus, the race to the title can get heated during the lengthy Group Stage which will lead to the top two out of the five in each group. Can there be another upset on the cards as Ireland takes upon the England’s challenge?

The Irish Women have improved at an electric rate. Their biggest triumph in a regular series came when they defeated Pakistan in a three-match T20 series. That triumph was no fluke it seems. They lost just by two runs against Sri Lanka in the first Warm-Up Game whereas in the second game, they defeated Australia out of nowhere, chasing a target of 168. Is this a new dawn for Irish cricket?
The opening pair of Amy Hunter and Gaby Lewis has been getting it done and Gaby has especially produced amazing innings. But it is the injection of number three Orla Pendergast who has given impetus to the innings through quickfire strokes. Leah Paul has had a strong impact.. Laura Delany is technically sound and the batting for the Irish team has fired when needed. Bowling-wise Orla has been a big factor too and is a great seaming option. Arlene Kelley and Jane Maguire are other reliable options and the pace options have fired for the team.
England
England comes into the game after registering a lop-sided win over West Indies. They won by seven wickets and with more than 30 balls remaining. The West Indies overrode the expectations and scored 135 which is the highest score in a long time. Hayley Matthews scored 42 runs in 32 balls whereas Shermaine Campbell scored 34 runs in 37 balls but the rest of the batting collapsed. England didn’t bowl well, with Sciver-Brunt and Charlie Dean bowling looseners. However, Sophie Ecclestone stuck thrice and showed against why she is the number one T20I bowler. Sarah Glenn was accurate as always and Lauren Bell bowled a superb last over.
England began the chase on a quick note, with opener Sophia Dunkley slicing up 34 runs in 18 balls. After a slight wobble that put England at 71 for 3, just in 44 balls, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Heather Knight batted with no pressure and finished the game quickly. Nat scored 40 in just 30 balls while Heather scored 32 runs in 22 balls to finish the business. This was a prototypical England performance and they will be favored to make a deep run

Expert Betting Tips
The English Women look in amazing touch entering the game and they will be expected to make it to the Semis. They have a loaded batting lineup and their bowling can be much more incisive than it was against West Indies. I expect Ireland to put up a fight but I expect England to win big.
