The Sunrisers Hyderabad team has had an up-and-down season, however, they are still in contention to stay alive in the tournament. Their current position is second-to-last on the points table, and with only four games left to play, they will need to win all of them to remain in the race.
SRH has won two of their last three matches, with the top and middle-order batsmen performing exceptionally well. Abhishek Sharma, who was promoted to the opening slot, played a crucial role in both victories, scoring half-centuries. Rahul Tripathi is the leading run-scorer for SRH this season and has also contributed to the team's success. The middle order has been stabilized by Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram, with the former being sent in early in the previous match.
Glenn Phillips played a key cameo in the last match, replacing Harry Brook, and is likely to continue his excellent form in this match. Abdul Samad is also expected to contribute to the death. Despite having a strong pace attack, including Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, and T Natarajan, SRH has struggled to perform on the field, with all three conceding over 8 runs per over. Mayank Markande has been the standout bowler for SRH, taking 11 wickets in 8 matches.
To give SRH some flexibility in the middle overs, Markram and Phillips may bowl a few overs. In conclusion, SRH will need to bring their A-game as they face a strong batting lineup.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Predicted Lineup
Anmolpreet Singh, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, Glenn Phillips, Abdul Samad, Marco Jansen, Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshawar Kumar, & T Natarajan
Lucknow Super Giants
At the beginning of the tournament, Lucknow Super Giants appeared to be on a roll and were even topping the points table in the early stages. However, with only two wins in their last seven matches, the team has experienced a significant drop in form and will need to work harder to secure their spot in the top four.
Kyle Mayers has been a consistent performer at the top of the order for Lucknow Super Giants and is also the team's leading run-scorer this season. With KL Rahul out of the tournament, he is joined by Quinton de Kock, who played a brilliant innings of 50 runs in his first match of the season.
Although Mayers and de Kock have shown aggression at the start, they tend to slow down once the pace is taken off the ball. They need to maintain their aggressive approach and trust the batters coming after them.
With Deepak Hooda struggling to score runs, Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis, and Nicholas Pooran will be under pressure to contribute with the bat. Krunal Pandya adds depth to the batting, but he has not been in good form this season with either bat or ball.
Lucknow Super Giants need to realize that holding back Stoinis and Pooran for the last five overs is not working for them. At least one of these batters needs to move up the order.
The bowling has not been the strongest suit for Lucknow Super Giants this season. The seamers have been expensive and have failed to take wickets at regular intervals. Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan are expected to start the innings with the new ball.
Ravi Bishnoi is the only specialist spinner who has featured regularly and is also the leading wicket-taker for the team with 12 wickets.
Lucknow Super Giants Predicted Lineup
Quinton de Kock (wk), Kyle Mayers, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya (c), Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, Swapnil Singh, Yash Thakur, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan

The playing surface here appears to be dry with minimal grass. It is not very conducive for the fast bowlers but the spinners may be able to extract some turn if they bowl accurately. Chasing a score above 180 could be challenging here. As this is a day game, there will be no dew factor to consider. The temperature is expected to be around 40 degrees Celsius. Sunrisers are slight favourites at their home going into their home.
