India won the first two games of the series with impressive bowling and some help from the middle and lower-order batsmen. The men in blue struggled in the third test when the ball started spinning from the very first innings. No one was able to stay at the crease for substantial periods of time. The team was only able to score 109 runs in the first innings of the game. In the second innings, the same story continued with the team getting only 163 runs giving Australia a small target of 76 runs which they chased down with nine wickets in hand. India after that loss finds itself in a very tricky place. They will need a victory in the final game to reach the ICC World Test Championship finals. India is facing an issue with their top order with none of the big guns firing. They experimented with Gill in the last game but he also departed cheaply. India will be looking at their openers to give them a great foundation to build upon. Rohit and Kohli will be the centre of attention for the men in blue.
India Predicted Lineup
Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Srikar Bharat (wk), Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav/Md. Shami, Mohammed Siraj
Australia form
The kangaroos came into the series with great form but were humbled by India in all the departments in the first two games. They only scored 177 and 91 runs in the two innings in the first game. Things got a little better in the first innings of the second game where they were the dominating side for the first two days. They lost nine wickets in a session for only 113 runs and lost the game. They have progressively gone better with each passing game. They were finally able to string together a cohesive performance to get themselves a victory. Lyon was the star of the show with his three and eight wickets respectively. Todd Murphy was exceptional in the first innings with seven wickets. Australian batters are also back in business and are confident batting against spin. The Kangaroos are in much better position then they were in the first game of the series.
Australia Lineup
Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, Steven Smith (c), Peter Handscomb, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Todd Murphy, Matthew Kuhnemann
Expert betting tips
The pitch will assist spinners as many subcontinent pitches. A significant amount of turns will be seen from the third day. The team winning the toss will look to bat first and anything over 300 will be a good total to put on board. Expect some good balling on this pitch as we have seen through out the series. We expect India to get the job done with the extra pressure they have.
